Reese Puffs Cereal: Review

I absolutely love Reese’s Peanut Butter Cups, so when I saw the Reese Puffs cereal by General Mills, I had to give it a try. How can the chocolate and peanut butter combination go wrong? Reese’s Peanut Butter Cups were my favourite Halloween candy. When kids would want to trade them away, I would take them all.

Where and how much?

I found this at Superstore for $2.97, but you can find this at most grocery stores across Canada. I find that prices do vary as well, but if you get it around the $3 mark, that’s pretty good.

What’s Inside?

Inside the box, you will find 1 x 326g pouch of Reese Puffs cereal.

Taste Test

When I opened the box, there was a nice peanut butter fragrance coming from the bag. As I poured the milk into the bowl, the puffs didn’t become soggy too fast.

There is a strong peanut taste with the subtle chocolate aroma. Each bite was crunchy but I find that it was quite sweet. The after taste was very sweet and made the back of my throat feel funny.

Final Thoughts

Overall, fun concept for a cereal, but it was a bit too sweet for me. I wished there was more chocolate flavour to balance the stronger peanut butter taste.

Bought this cereal across Nebraska and iowa in the past few months and it has changed. Even without milk it dissolves easily and has less/stale flavor. Searching for a new favorite.
