Roberto’s Big Sandwiches launches in Dalina just in time for summer patio and picnic season

Nothing says summer like fresh sandwiches enjoyed al fresco, and Roberto’s Big Sandwiches is launching just in time to be enjoyed in a park, on the patio, or at the beach. With delicious fillings made from scratch and surrounded by fresh bread, Roberto’s makes the perfect centrepiece for your next picnic or patio dinner.

Named for the owners’ beloved mom, Dalina coffee shop and microgrocer has always been a family affair with an Italian flair. Roberto’s Bigs Sandwiches is the newest member of the clan, using Dalina’s family kitchen to create a menu which will be available for pickup in-person at the Main St. location or for delivery through DoorDash and Uber Eats from 3pm-8pm Thursday through Saturday beginning June 11th

Sandwiches have been a part of Italian immigrant cuisine for over 100 years, taking familiar elements of Italian food like fresh bread, cured meats, meatballs, and cheeses, and turning them into something more compatible with lunchboxes and the quick food breaks of North American work culture.

Roberto’s pays delicious tribute to those traditions with irresistible options like The Godfather, a classic meatball, marinara, and three cheese sub, the Dalina Dagwood with mortadella, salami, prosciutto, and cheese, the Chicken Parm, and a Roasted Mushroom Arugula with artichokes and red peppers for a plant-based option. All the sandwiches are carefully prepared using scratch-made sauces and dressings, housemade fillings, and the best ingredients like Columbus Meats and Kaylin & Hobbs Pickles.

With rotating feature options each week and a crisp Italian Cobb Salad available to round out the meal, Roberto’s Big Sandwiches are certain to be a summer favourite, so pick one up soon for your next picnic in the park . . . just be sure to use two hands, because these things are seriously big.
