New Ambleside brunch hotspot Mèreon is turning the lights down low and setting the mood for romance by hosting an exclusive pop-up prix-fixe Valentine’s Day dinner menu at 5 p.m. on Wednesday, February 14 at 1479 Clyde Avenue.
Available by reservation only, Mèreon’s Valentine’s Day pop-up dinner allows guests to sample the intimate ambiance and signature sense of hospitality at the newly opened French-inspired bistro and enjoy a choice of appetizer, entrée and dessert for $65 per person plus tax and gratuity with optional beverage pairings and à-la-carte wine, Champagne and cocktails also offered.
The newly opened bistro will also be open from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. for brunch and feature its regular complement of timeless French fare, artisanal espresso-based beverages, classic, contemporary and zero-proof cocktails and Old and New World wines.

The Valentine’s Day menu was developed by Mèreon Owner Ophelia Arida in conjunction with well-known Vancouver restaurateur/chef Emmanuel Joinville, whose beloved former Gastown Bar à Vin Jules Bistro was a Valentine’s Day date staple for diners from 2007 until 2023.
“We’re so grateful to everyone who has come out to welcome us to the neighbourhood and show their support since we opened our doors,” says Ophelia. “We look forward to adding dinner service to our menu soon, and this Valentine’s Day pop-up will give our guests a little preview of what to expect when that happens.”
