Coast Restaurant Celebrates 20th Anniversary with $20 Features, Revival of ‘The Big Catch’ on Sundays

 Glowbal Restaurant Group is marking the 20th anniversary milestone of its Coast restaurant with an array of fresh-sheet features that celebrate the bounty of BC’s farms, fields and ocean at the iconic dining destination at 1054 Alberni Street.

The 20th-anniversary festivities include the 20 Years of Coast celebratory menu featuring $20 classic and crowd-favourite dishes from Tuesday, Oct. 10 to Friday, Oct. 20, and the revival of a show-stopping seafood feast known as The Deluxe Big Catch for Two all day every Sunday starting Oct. 8.

20 YEARS OF COAST FEATURE MENU
Tuesday, October 10 to Friday, October 20

From October 10 through 20, seafood fans can take a trip back in time to enjoy classic dishes and crowd favourites from Coast’s culinary back catalogue with the 20 Years of Coast Menu, showcasing the following features for $20 each, plus tax and gratuity:

  • Chef Max Bento Taster (negitoro roll, Ahi tuna sashimi, daikon crab & avocado roll, unagi tempura, Wagyu gunkan with wasabi soy powder, sunomono salad);
  • Crispy Lobster & Prawn Roll (shiso leaf, yuzu kosho, plum vinegar, buttered clam & squid ink vongole, tableside torched Pecorino cheese wheel);
  • Grilled Chilean Sea Bass (spicy sausage, mussels, tomato broth, Dungeness crab salad, avocado, pickled cucumber, grapefruit);
  • Miso Sablefish (black garlic broth, crispy nori, roast shiitake mushrooms, Napa cabbage);
  • Salt-Baked Branzino (summer vegetables, saffron fingerling potato, lobster oil);
  • Charred Octopus (olive oil potato & shucked peas, smoked paprika mayo);
  • Grilled Striploin Oscar (Dungeness crab, garlic whipped potato, Chilliwack corn purée, chanterelle mushrooms).

THE DELUXE BIG CATCH FOR TWO
All Day Every Sunday starting October 8
$130 plus tax, gratuity

Seafood aficionados can indulge in an elevated feast for the senses every Sunday starting October 8 when Coast revives a fan favourite showstopper from the menu at Glowbal’s former The Fish Shack location on Granville Street with The Deluxe Big Catch for Two.

Each Big Catch begins with a signature Caesar Salad (garlic croutons, shaved Parmesan Reggiano, classic dressing, cracked pepper) before the Deluxe Big Catch is delivered to the table: a 1lb Atlantic Lobster, ½ BC Dungeness CrabSnow Crab ClusterHead-on Tiger Prawns, Calamari, Prince Edward Island Mussels and Manila Clams, wok fried in a garlic, ginger, chili and green onion glaze and served with a Chilliwack Corn Cob, Green Beans, Napa Cabbage, Fingerling Potatoes and sides (Sea-Salted French Fries, Cornbread) and a Dessert course of Banana Butter Cake (vanilla crème Anglaise, fresh berries, powdered sugar).
