Cozinha Pinocchio: Pinocchio Restaurant in Macau

After watching House of Dancing Water at the City of Dreams in Macau, we decided to go for some dinner! The production was amazing and we are still in shock at how well done it was. If you are even in Macau, you should get tickets to this show!

There are some good hotel +show packages that you can do through travel agents.

Cozinha Pinocchio is one of the most popular restaurants in the Taipa area. They specialize in Macanese cuisine. Their building is super huge and looks fantastic from the outside. It caters well to large groups! The restaurant has been around for over 30 years.

You can’t miss this building since its so big and yellow.

The interior can get a bit cramped since there are so many tables around.

This is the only connection that I could find with Pinocchio. There is also a poster and a wooden puppet, but thats it. This place isn’t Disney related.

Deep Fried Pigeon is a must have dish here. The skin is crisp and had delicious flavour in the meat.

Tsingtao Beer is always ordered in our family if we have fried items like the pigeon! It pairs really nicely together!

Codfish Balls

Char-grilled Sardines

Steamed Clams

BBQ Pork

Beef Short Ribs

Beef Ribs

Cod Fish Fried Rice

Overall,Cozinha Pinocchio was OK. There are only a few dishes that really stand out – char-grilled sardines, deep-fried pigeon, and the Codfish Balls. Most of the dishes had a western feel to it. I wasn’t too impressed with the quality of food.

  1. I went to Macau too but I didn’t get to watch the House of Dancing Water show!! I’m so sad…. I heard it’s a must watch too. Too bad my friends thought it was too expensive so we skipped it.
