Tiggy, the only ultrafast delivery app that provides free 15-minute delivery of fresh produce, groceries, pet, baby, and healthcare items to Vancouverites, adds Health Canada-approved rapid COVID antigen tests to its expansive line up of amazing products.

“Starting today, Tiggy customers can shop for rapid antigen tests, along with locally sourced fresh produce, food items, household and personal care brands delivered within 15 minutes,” said Paul Lomonossov, Tiggy City Manager, Vancouver. “Adding new items is all part of our mission to make the lives of Tiggy customers a little easier by giving them back time.”

The fast growing startup now operates four delivery zones across Vancouver Metro with plans to expand its service areas further with openings of new micro fulfillment centres throughout the year.

Nearly 2,000 items & now, rapid antigen tests available

Tiggy’s growing assortment of products includes high quality B.C. brands such as Avalon ice-cream, Buck buckwheat ice cream, Earths own dairy free milk, Granola Girl gluten free granola, Happy Planet juices and smoothies, Island Gold free-range eggs, Mumgry nut butter, Oat of the ordinary gluten free instant oats, New World Foods Organic organic nut butters, Nora’s plant-based ice cream, Two Rivers meat, Tality Kombucha organic craft kombucha, Terra Breads, and more. Rapid Response COVID-19 Antigen Tests are also available in a 5-pack, while supplies last.
Tiggy product categories include Breakfast, Bakery, Fruit & Berries, Healthy Alternatives including gluten free, dairy free, keto and organic options, Dairy, Seafood, Meat, Sweets, Snacks, Personal & Baby Care and Pets.

Since launching in Vancouver last fall, Tiggy has quickly grown to meet consumer demand. Vancouverites are now using Tiggy more frequently throughout the week to reduce trips to grocery stores. In addition to dinner time orders, customers are also increasingly looking to Tiggy for items for breakfast, lunch, and snacks.

“We’re focused on continuing to grow locally sourced produce and products to support B.C. brands and delight our customers with best in class items across all categories,” said Lomonossov.
The vast majority of orders are delivered within 15 minutes with some exceptions that may take up to 25 minutes depending on traffic, and inclement weather. Tiggy is open 7 days a week, from 8 AM to 11 AM with all orders delivered by Tiggy’s dedicated team of full-time bicycle couriers.

No hidden fees

With Tiggy there are no surprises. Unlike some other grocery delivery apps, Tiggy does not charge a fee for delivery, markup costs of grocery items, or require a subscription. Costs of items are on par with grocery store prices.

Easy to Use App, Proprietary Technology

In just a couple of minutes, consumers can order groceries through the Tiggy app that’s easy to navigate. Tiggy’s proprietary technology was created by developers with extensive experience in Europe’s already-established ultrafast delivery space. The result is an app, and a sophisticated back-end inventory and procurement system that’s faster than web-based platforms most Canadian grocery delivery companies are currently using.

While ultrafast grocery delivery is now a consumer expectation in China, the U.K. and Russia, the space is quickly gaining traction in the US, while still in its infancy in Canada.
