Discover Vancouver-based small businesses’ delicious creations from Dicky’s Dumps, Teakan, Simply Homayd, Passione Gelato, The Dessert Club, and more.

Enjoy Hong Kong inspired cocktails crafted by Olivia Povarchook, bartender at Tocador, while surrounded by Xiangmei Su’s mesmerizing exhibit of the Intangible Thread Part One. Transport your taste buds, while traveling to Hong Kong and beyond through your palates.

“We want to create dialogues about the culinary world and how foods are seen, eaten and experienced.” The founder of The Dessert Club, Sam Shen states “I always look forward to working with other chefs/pastry chefs/food bloggers and creatives in the industry to create exciting initiatives and to promote new and underrepresented voices in the food community.”

“The goal of this event is to showcase our amazing Vancouver-based talents, while introducing Hong Kong cuisine to those who have not tried it before, and helping those who miss the concrete jungle reminisce through their senses” local food blogger @blackholetummy, Melody Yip adds. “Both of us are from Hong Kong, and want to create an experience where we can recreate a taste of home.”

It will be a great opportunity to visit the Dr. Sun Yat-Sen Classical Chinese Garden which is not regularly open during the evening, and will be opened specially for this event, decorated with lights and lanterns to honour Lunar New Year month.

Food from the community vendors will be charged separately and all proceeds will go directly to them, so that guests can discover & support small businesses!
