The season’s closing weekend also includes the “Last Smoke” BBQ day on Saturday, October 8th
On Sunday, October 9th, Rosie’s BBQ & Smokehouse will set up at Strange Fellows Brewing on Clark Drive for the “Turkey Tailgate,” another great day of Southern-style turkey frying. The smoked then deep-fried turkeys will be available in take-home meal kits for a unique and delicious take on the classic holiday feast to enjoy with family and friends.
The holiday weekend will also mark the end of the 2022 season for Rosie’s BBQ & Smokehouse and, on Saturday, October 8th, they will host the “Last Smoke.” This will be last time this year that Chef Karl’s alarm goes off at 4am to fire up the smoker and start the slow, careful process of cooking the Lower Mainland’s best classic Texas BBQ.
This year’s Turkey Tailgate birds come with heat-and-eat Southern sides like collard greens, smoked green beans, mac & cheese, stuffing, and mash. The full dinner easily feeds 8 people also includes a locally made pumpkin pie and four-pack of Strange Fellows beer for $295.
Saturday’s Last Smoke will offer up the full range of Rosie’s famous BBQ–brisket, ribs, links, chicken–for one last chance to enjoy before the season ends. They’ll also be serving up smoked turkey sandwiches with cranberry, gravy, and mayo for those who want to double up on the Thanksgiving bird.
Turkey Tailgate holiday dinners will be available exclusively by pre-order and pre-orders are strongly recommended for the Last Smoke because when the “Sold Out” sign goes up this time, it will stay up until next Spring.
