A new cafe experience is coming to the Whistler Creekside community on November 25, 2022. Located at 227-2063 Lake Placid Road, Rockit Coffee Co. will feature a robust coffee program, as well as a sweet and savoury menu, great for those looking for a quick bite before hitting the slopes or after for full apres ski fun.

The two-level space will feature in-door dining, with a patio coming in the spring of 2023.

“When we looked at opening our next project, we knew we definitely wanted it to be in Whistler Creekside,” says Pepe Barajas, CEO and president of Infinity Enterprises, which also has popular Whistler restaurants The Mexican Corner and Tacos La Cantina in its portfolio. “Whistler Creekside is the original base of Whistler Mountain. It has an amazing, thriving community that just keeps growing and evolving. With Rockit, we hope to be the neighbourhood haunt people will go to for excellent coffee and snacks in a beautiful and fun space.”

Rockit’s speciality coffee team is currently sourcing some of the best beans possible from farms around the world for its house espresso and drip coffee offerings – focusing on ethically-made, fair trade, and organic varieties. In addition, guests will have the chance to try beans from local roasters, as well as limited-edition, international favourites.

The menu is currently in the works, but guests can expect a selection of local sweets, pastries, and savoury items that are great for a quick respite from the outdoors or as grab-and-go items before and after hitting the slopes.

The space is being designed by award-winning Vancouver interior designer Daniel Meloché Design, known for his work in hospitality. Rockit will feature a playful, interactive, and inviting  retro-vibe, inspired by the 70s and 80s, with pops of yellow, brass, and greenery. Guests will feel right at home while taking a breather inside.

“We are excited for guests to come in and check out the space when we officially open,” adds Barajas. “Daniel is doing a wonderful job with the design, especially with the seating, lighting, and unique millwork. There are definitely some eye catching touches! We think guests will discover something new with each visit.”

Rockit is expected to open on November 25, 2022. Watch for updates via their website at rockitcoffee.ca.
