Kinton Ramen will add a new member to its ever-growing collection of restaurants in Greater Vancouver when it officially opens the doors of its third location in Surrey’s King George neighbourhood at #103 – 13639 George Junction on Saturday, September 23.

To celebrate the grand opening of its new 32-seat restaurant, Kinton Ramen will introduce itself to its new Surrey neighbours by offering guests 50% off signature pork, chicken, beef and vegetarian ramen specialties in original, miso, shoyu and spicy broths for dine-in service only from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. Kinton will also mark the occasion by hosting a Japanese Taiko Drum performance by   at 10:30 a.m. and handing out coupons for free gyozas that can be redeemed during future visits.

The new Surrey location is the latest member of a Kinton Ramen family of restaurants that began with the establishment of its first West Coast outpost at UBC (6111 University Blvd.) and continued with a second location in North Vancouver (1325 Lonsdale Avenue). A fourth location is set to open at 420 Robson Street in the heart of Downtown Vancouver this December.

The menu, developed by Kinton Ramen Executive Chef Aki Urata, will include a range of hearty ramen bowls prepared with slow-cooked pork, chicken and vegetarian broth in four distinct styles — Original, Shoyu, Miso, Spicy — as well as a newly introduced beef ramen featuring a 100-percent beef broth in Original, Shoyu, Miso and Spicy varieties. Ramen bowls will be served with a choice of thick, thin or shirataki noodles and finished with traditional and modern toppings like seasoned egg, bamboo shoots, wood ear mushrooms, nori, and sweet corn.

“It’s clear that people all across Vancouver love their ramen, and we’re truly excited to bring the Kinton experience to Surrey,” says Kinka Family Founder and CEO James Kim. “We look forward to serving people happiness — and our unique take on ramen — in a whole new neighbourhood.”

Kinka Family oversees a diverse portfolio of full-service restaurants (Kinka Izakaya, JaBistro and Kintori Yakatori) in addition to counter-service café Neo Coffee Bar, specializing in Japanese desserts and innovative coffee- and tea-based beverages.
