10 years ago, Beaucoup Bakery (Beaucoup) opened on Fir Street, attracting many fans and a loyal following of its Parisian-inspired pastries, viennoiserie, and treats. As Beaucoup enters its next decade, brother-sister duo Betty and Jacky Hung are excited to announce they are opening a second location this fall, inside downtown Vancouver’s historic St. Regis Hotel.
Beaucoup Bakery Downtown is located on the corner of Seymour Street and Dunsmuir Street. The 1,300 square-foot space will be a counter-service spot, featuring classic Beaucoup items, as well as new sweet and savoury creations. When open, guests will have the opportunity to take-out, sit at one of its seven tables inside or enjoy a breather on the patio.
“We’ve been searching for the right location for a while now, and cannot wait to bring Beaucoup Bakery to the heart of downtown Vancouver,” explains Betty, co-owner and pastry chef at Beaucoup Bakery. “The St. Regis Hotel has so much character and history behind it. The team has been incredible to work with, and we look forward to opening our doors this autumn.”
Beaucoup is currently working with award-winning design firm Ste. Marie Studio, who is giving the space a European-feel through soft colours, contemporary edges, and classic materials. Glasfurd & Walker is assisting the team with branding.
