Tiger Sugar has finally opened in Metro Vancouver specifically in Richmond. They originate from Taiwan and is best known for their brown sugar bubble tea beverages. I went to Taiwan earlier this year and it was pretty good. So, I had to see how it compares.
Their infamous tiger stripes from the brown sugar syrup on the side of the group has really caught everyone’s attention.
Interior
The space is small, but its mostly meant for people to grab the drink and take it to go. There are a few tables as well as seats near the window. There is a lot of floor space, but that is just meant for people to either line up or wait for their drink.

Brown Sugar Boba and Pearl with Cream Mousse
I went with the one drink that had a bit of everything. I did shake it up around 15 times, but really who is counting as long as it’s mixed up well. You want to mix it up as as you want to mix the brown sugar into the milk so you don’t get a sip full of it during your first sip.
The boba and pearl that are large and small give the drink a nice texture. The milk and the mousse make the drink nice and creamy too. It was veyr enjoyable.
What I miss most is the Tiger Jelly, which is available in Taiwan when we were there. It is coffee jelly as give it a nice texture to the drink.
Final Thoughts
Overall, it was good if you come earlier in the day while the ingredients are fresh. My friend came in the evening and the pearls were too mushy and sweet compared to the day time.
