I headed to Salsa and Agave Mexican Grill to meet up with fellow blogger – Sharon M Fung. I always pass by this restaurant and never stopped by to try their food until now. Their menu looked good for lunch and you can’t go wrong with tacos or burritos.
They have patio and indoor seating, so it’s perfect for the hot Summer days.
The interior is a bit small, but there are a decent amount of tables for large and small groups.
The lunch specials are quite affordable.
Azteca Soup and Tostada combo ($8) is made with fresh local ingredients.
The Azteca Soup is essentially a tortilla soup with chipotle pepper, diced avocado, cheese and sour cream. The soup tasted ok, but it wasn’t anything special. It also looked very oily.
Tostadas are crispy open face corn tortilla stacked with beans, lettuce, tomato, sour cream, cheese and avocado sauce.
Sharon got the Azteca soup and small burrito combo for $9.50, but we disappointed by the shrimp burrito. She said it was dry.
Overall, we were not impressed by the experience. The food was ok and the service was non-existent. Our glasses of water were left empty and it was hard to get a servers attention. I really wanted to like this place, but it didn’t satisfy us.
