Warm up this winter with a taste of the Caribbean – Hidden Gem Cocktail

There are two types of people in this world: those who get excited about the winter season, and those who approach it with extreme caution. Regardless of which one you are, you’re likely going to want a drink in your hand to keep you warm. 

Whether you’re catching up with some friends over a cocktail night at home or looking for a recipe to wow your guests over the holidays, look no further than Moxies newest drink: the Hidden Gem made with Bumbu rum

HIDDEN GEM COCKTAIL

A light and refreshing take on a dark rum mojito that will take you on a tropical escape this holiday season. The rum is crafted with fruit and spicy notes that create a distinctly Caribbean character. 

INGREDIENTS

  • 1 ½ oz Bumbu Rum
  • ¾ oz Lime Juice
  • ¾ oz Simple Syrup
  • 2 oz Codorniu Cava
  • 2 dashes Angostura Bitters
  • 6-8 Mint Leaves

INSTRUCTIONS

  1. Muddle mint leaves, simple syrup and lime juice in a shaker
  2. Add Bumbu Rum and bitters to the shaker
  3. Fill the shaker half full with ice and shake vigorously for 20 seconds
  4. Strain into glass with ice
  5. Top with Codorniu Cava and stir
  6. Garnish with a mint sprig
