Vancouver Firefighter Charities (VFC) and its 2023 Hall of Flame Calendar models are sure to set a few hearts ablaze when they bring the heat and their charitable calendar drive to the West Coast Women’s Show at BC Place Stadium November 17 to 19

The VFC and current and former models will be on hand for the duration of the three-day event to sell holiday Hall of Flame greeting cards and discounted copies of the 2024 Hall of Flame Calendar and strut their stuff on the runway during a Girls Night Out Martini Night on Friday, Nov. 17 at 7 p.m.

Seats for the fun and frisky TGIF event are available on a first-come, first-served basis, with this year’s models all geared up and dressed down to take questions from the crowd, participate in a choreographed fashion show and personalize copies of the new calendar.

Off-duty firefighters and VFC members will also be on hand for the duration of the event to raise awareness of and funds for the charity’s many community endeavours by selling apparel and helping members of the public suit up in turnout gear. Guests can receive updates on all the VFC’s weekend activities at the show by following its Instagram account @vanfirecharities.

The VFC’s Hall of Flame calendar is the longest running firefighters’ calendar in the world and has raised more than a million dollars for the BC Professional Firefighters Burn Fund as well as VFC’s charitable outreach programs like Snacks for Kids and Lifelines for Seniors that benefit at-risk youth and seniors in communities throughout BC since its debut in 1988.

“We had a blast at the first edition of the West Coast Women’s Show at the Abbotsford Tradex in October and hope to see the same sort of crowds come out to cheer us on at BC Place,” says Hall of Flame Calendar Coordinator Ryan Pidhirniak. “We love that our models and fans have a lot of fun at these events, but as 100% of the proceeds from each calendar sold are donated directly to charities, it’s also a very important opportunity for people to show their support for communities in need.”

Billed at Western Canada’s premier women’s event, the West Coast Women’s Show celebrates the beauty, strength and diversity of women from all walks of life during an event that features more than 400 booths and pop-up boutiques, dozens of live performances and celebrity appearances by personalities like Food Network Canada’s Anna Olson and Olympic figure skater Tessa Virtue.
