Fairmont Hotel Vancouver, in collaboration with Iconic Wineries of British Columbia, invites wine lovers and culinary enthusiasts for an unforgettable evening of fine wine and gourmet dining. The ‘Best of B.C. Wine Dinner’ will take place on Thursday, April 24 in a stunning, never-before-featured location within the iconic halls of the hotel.
This exclusive one-night-only event will immerse guests in the best of British Columbia’s wine offerings, featuring an exquisite five-course dinner crafted by Hotel Vancouver’s Chef de Cuisine, Danai Hongwanishkul. Each course will be expertly paired with wines from four of the province’s most prestigious wineries: Mission Hill Family Estate, CheckMate Artisanal Winery, CedarCreek Estate Winery, and Martin’s Lane Winery, all hand-selected by the expert sommelier team from Iconic Wineries of British Columbia.
Attendees will indulge in a curated selection of premium wines, each chosen for its exceptional quality and distinctive character, complemented by regional, seasonal ingredients that celebrate the rich flavours of British Columbia’s terroir. The evening’s standout dishes include a seacuterie of smoked albacore tuna, cured sockeye salmon, and a prawn boudin blanc paired with a delicate 2023 Martin’s Lane Riesling. Guests will also savour a decadent Beef Wellington, accompanied by the recently released 2020 Oculus from Mission Hill Family Estate – the first Canadian red wine to receive a flawless 100-point score.
