Tofino’s Jeju Teams with Torafuku for a Sold Out 3-Day Collaboration

Michelin recommended Torafuku welcomes the celebrated Tofino restaurant Jeju to Vancouver for a two-day pop-up and a one-evening collaboration dinner. The two family-owned eateries are celebrated for their menus that are rooted in tradition yet are presented with a flair of innovation and local focus. 

“We’re thrilled to partner up with the Jeju Tofino team. At the core of both restaurant concepts is a very similar, warm, inviting, friendly atmosphere with a real focus on food and people,” shares Steve Kuan, Torafuku owner and executive chef. 

The tickets are all 3 evenings have sold out at record speed and shows the power of collaboration with both Torafuku and Jeju.

June 5-6, 6:00 PM: Jeju Pop Up [SOLD OUT]
Vancouver diners are invited to explore the flavours of Jeju as the restaurant takes over the Torafuku space for two nights. Executive chef, Yunyoung Kim (Dylan), will be preparing a variety of dishes, including the famous Jeju galbi and kimchi. He’ll be backed in the kitchen by mother Myungseok Suh (Julie), while his wife Sungeun Kim (Sung) leads the front of house team. Alongside local ingredients, Jeju utilizes items from the family farm in Haenam, Korea, including sesame seed and gochugaru, which diners can expect to experience. 

June 7, 6:00 PM: Jeju x Torafuku Dinner  [SOLD OUT]
Two of Western Canada’s favourite Asian eateries team up for a dinner not to miss. Expect electric flavours, and innovation dished alongside heartfelt odes to heritage. The Torafuku chef Steve Kuan has curated a multi-course menu in collaboration with the Jeju team. Diners can expect a lineup of sharable plates spotlighting Korean and pan-Asian flavours with a unique west coast spin.
