Vancouver-based craft brewery Strathcona Beer Company is expanding its footprint to the North Shore with their new culinary-driven brewery, Strathcona North. Located at the Lonsdale Quay Market, Strathcona North will start pouring for the public during a soft opening phase on September 23rd.
During the soft launch phase from September to November, Strathcona North will serve beer flights and sleeves of Strathcona Beer Company’s most popular brews alongside LOLO, the company’s tequila-based ready-to-drink cocktails. A select menu of tasty bites with a focus on local ingredients will be available to complement the beverage offerings.
Later in November, the grand opening will mark the debut of the restaurant’s full menu offerings featuring cozy comfort fare by day and sophisticated share plates by night, local craft cocktails and an extensive wine list. Local butchers, cheesemongers, cider-makers and local ingredient suppliers bring life to the mouthwatering selection. Diners seeking expert pairings can rely on Strathcona North’s dedicated Beer Sommelier, who will elevate the dining experience with beverage recommendations and insights.
Also available starting in September will be the brewery’s new classic West Coast IPA with a modern twist called Coastal Supreme IPA. Served exclusively at Strathcona North, the beer features notes of ripe peach, sweet citrus and earthy pine. Made with a base of British Maris otter, German Pilsner malt and British Crystal malt, the beer is generously hopped with Centennial, Simcoe, Mosaic and Columbus for crisp flavour.
Strathcona North’s interior design pays homage to life on the West Coast with natural wood floors, textural elements such as marble and brass, a captivating green colour palette, and greenery as well as a large indoor tree creating an indoor-outdoor feel. The location will also feature a storefront bottle shop where customers can purchase takeaway Strathcona Beer and LOLO products.

Strathcona North at 123 Carrie Cates Court, North Vancouver, is open to the public September 23, seven days a week from 11 am to 11 pm.
