One Night in Paris pop-up dinner: 5 Course Menu on Aug 30 Inspired by French Culinary Favourites at PICA

Ooh la la! Chefs and students at the Pacific Institute of Culinary Arts (PICA) will team up to transport guests to the City of Light by hosting a One Night in Paris pop-up dinner at PICA’s Blue Hat Bistro (1505 West 2nd Ave.) on Wednesday, August 30.

Taking place from 6 to 9 p.m., the One Night in Paris event takes its cues from French culinary pioneer Auguste Escoffier and brings together Chef-Instructors Ben, Phyllis and Gary and their students in PICA’s Advanced Culinary and Baking & Pastry courses to prepare and present a five-course feast comprising timeless classics like ConsomméPâté en Croûte, Canard à L’Orange, Clafoutis aux Cerises and more.

It’s the latest opportunity for students at the school to showcase their knowledge and put into practice the skills they’ve learned before venturing out to pursue their own careers in the food and hospitality industry. Enrollment is filling fast, and only few spots remain for the school’s fall intake for its six-month Culinary Arts and Baking & Pastry Arts programs, one-year Grand Diploma Culinary and Baking & Pastry Arts program, and two-year Grand Diploma and Industry Co-Op program that start September 25. The winter intake will take place on January 2 in the new year.
