The holiday season is upon us in all its joyous and magical glory. Whether you prefer a quiet holiday season snuggled up on the couch or a busy one full of loud family celebrations, here are some ways to make every moment sparkle:

Disposable cameras: A new trend that has risen in popularity throughout the year is the use of disposable cameras at family events. The holidays are a perfect time to give a camera to each family member to enshrine and showcase the variety of moments and highlights that will take place throughout the season to make a lifetime of memories.

Family recipes: In so many families, food is of central importance throughout the season, but especially recipes that have been passed down from one generation to the next. This season, encourage each family member to bring one cooked or baked family recipe to your gathering. This creates an easier event for the host as all guests contribute and allows for family bonding, as well as a trip down memory lane for all.

Wishing tree: As your family gathers to make new memories, how about inviting them to create the décor with you – in real time? First, have the younger members of the family cut out shapes of paper whether it be hearts, stars or trees. Next, have each relative write their wish for the new year on their piece of paper and hang them all from a common space such as a tree, fireplace mantle, etc.

Sweets for all: The common denominator for almost every family or group gathering remains the sweetest item of all – your dessert. This season, bring some extra sweet magic to your family gathering by showcasing a fun dessert from your local ice cream shop. Baskin-Robbins, for example, has brought back its highly successful Brrr the Snowman Cake. The adorable, edible cake is perfect for kids and adults and tastes as good as it looks.
