Starting mid-November, Ladurée will offer exclusive pastry classes first in Toronto and in Vancouver starting Spring 2025, led by its pastry chefs in Ladurée’s authentic Pastry Laboratory setting. On October 16, Union Station will welcome its own Ladurée carriage pop up located on the Bay Promenade’s lower retail level.

Ladurée Café  a new café concept opens at 162 Cumberland Street

Ladurée Café is a new grab-and-go concept offering quick-service coffee alongside a curated daily selection of freshly baked pastries and cakes, crafted by French-trained executive pastry chef Alexandra Launay at Toronto’s Ladurée Pastry Laboratory. Guests can also enjoy Ladurée’s renowned macarons and signature Eugénie biscuits, with pre-ordered cakes available for pick-up — ideal for dinner parties and special events. The highly anticipated 751-square-foot café features a chic and intimate atmosphere, accommodating approximately 13 guests indoors and 12 outdoors.

“We have been waiting for the ideal moment to introduce the Ladurée experience to Yorkville,” said Olesya Krakhmalyova, owner of Ladurée Canada. “Our vision has culminated in this new Ladurée Café concept that perfectly aligns with the neighbourhood’s discerning clientele. This will be a space where patrons can savour the quintessential Ladurée experience, from a quick morning coffee and croissant to a leisurely rendezvous over our signature pastries.”

This new café joins a growing list of Ladurée locations across Canada, including boutiques and salons in Vancouver and Toronto, as well as several rotating pop-up carriages.

Ladurée launches pastry classes in Toronto and Vancouver

Ladurée is launching pastry classes in Toronto in mid-November and Vancouver in Spring 2025, allowing enthusiasts to master the art of French patisserie. They will take place at Ladurée’s Toronto and Vancouver’s Pastry Laboratories, where participants will create its iconic Ispahan cake using authentic recipes and techniques from Ladurée Paris. Classes, held on Wednesdays and Saturdays, accommodate seven to 14 participants to prioritise personalised instruction. Guests will leave with their handcrafted creations, a recipe booklet and exclusive Ladurée keepsakes.

“We are thrilled to bring the Ladurée pastry experience to Toronto in a hands-on way,” said Olesya Krakhmalyova, owner of Ladurée Canada. “These classes offer a rare opportunity for participants to learn the meticulous craft of creating our iconic Ispahan cake, guided by our expert chefs in an authentic Ladurée setting. It’s a chance to truly immerse oneself in the art of French patisserie.”
