This spring, take a “trip” to Paris as world-renowned French pâtisserie Ladurée (1141 Robson Street) unveils several offerings to celebrate the changing seasons. Guests can experience an exclusive Spring Break Special Afternoon Tea for two, a Kids’ Menu designed just for the little ones, and new cakes by Pastry Chef Eulalie Hermand.

“I love spring in Paris as the streets become even more beautiful with fresh greenery and florals and the city is bustling with energy,” says Olesya Krakhmalyova of Ladurée Canada. “In Vancouver, the days get longer and cherry-blossoms start to bloom. While we aren’t able to travel just yet, we at Ladurée are thrilled to continue to bring an authentic French experience to the city, especially if your children are yearning for a getaway. Allow us to transport you and them through this cheerful Parisian escape. It’s a great way to highlight the new season.”

The Ladurée Spring Break Afternoon Tea ($65 for two), available from March 12 to 28, 2021 for both adults and kids, features a special assortment of macarons, a choice of tea-sized cakes (Ispahan, Religieuse, Plaisir), savoury mini croissants, a pair of financiers and madeleines served with Chantilly, fruit salad, and a choice of warm beverage (tea, coffee, hot chocolate). Reservations are required.

The Kids’ Menu officially launches on March 12, 2021. Delicious and fun dishes include a Happy Face French Toast, savoury Mac & CheeseMini Croissant Sandwich (filling choices include ham, Emmental cheese, ham, tomatoes, cucumbers) with veggie sticks and whipped cream cheese dip, desserts, ice cream, and more. Kids will also be offered a colouring book and crayon set at the table.

New cakes by Chef Hermand include the Elysée Matcha, which features beautiful layers of chocolate biscuit, hazelnut praline crisp, white chocolate matcha cremeux, delicate matcha sponge, matcha mousse delicately coated with matcha glaze and decorated with a hazelnut and a gold leaf touch.

Another new addition is Ladurée’s classic Raspberry Chocolate Tart, filled with raspberry dark chocolate (Valrhona 64% Manjari) cremeux and a light flourless chocolate biscuit. It is finished with a dark chocolate disc and velvety quenelle. All cakes are available in individual and large sizes.

Seasonal macarons on the menu include hazelnut, matcha and almond lucuma, and caramel banana.

Vancouver Ladurée Boutique and Tea Salon is located at 1141 Robson Street. Currently, Ladurée also has a Carriage Pop-Up inside Holt Renfrew at 737 Dunsmuir St.

In addition, an exquisite selection of macarons, cakes, pastries, chocolates, tea, delicatessen goods, gifts, and accessories are available for enjoyment at home through online ordering with local delivery or curbside pick-up.
