Jackson Family Wines: Cheersing to Cuffing Season

With the cooler months around the corner, we know that cuffing season is soon to begin. It’s no secret that winter seems to go by a little quicker when you’ve got someone to spend those chilly nights. Cuffing season refers to the time of year when single people begin looking for relationships to find a companion during the chilly months. And who doesn’t love being brought together over wine?

Jackson Family Wines, JFW, is one of the few family-owned and operated winery groups of its kind. Founded in 1983 with a focus on artisanal wines with character and quality, its portfolio includes well-known wineries such as Kendall-JacksonLa CremaFreemark AbbeyMurphy-GoodeCambria, and many more.

La Crema Sonoma Coast Pinot Noir
The La Crema Sonoma Coast Pinot Noir has aromas of boysenberry, cherry, and sweet tobacco accompanied by flavours of raspberry, blackberry and cherry. A varietal with more fruity notes, try pairing with salmon or other fatty fish, roast chicken, or pasta dishes to create a beautiful balance. Perfect for cozy nights in by the fireplace when it’s just too chilly to go out!

Murphy-Goode Merlot
The Murphy-Goode California Merlot is sure to please the finickiest of wine drinkers, with aromas of black cherry, blueberry and blackberry that tie together and create a kiss of toasty vanilla. Similar to Cabernet Sauvignon but slightly lighter in body, its balance of notes and body creates a complementary selection for seasonal flavours. Perfect for hosting a couples night for everyone who is cuffed for the season!

Kendall-Jackson Vintner’s Reserve Chardonnay
This Chardonnay from Kendall-Jackson has beautifully integrated tropical flavours, such as pineapple, mango, and papaya with citrus notes. These flavours intertwine with aromas of vanilla and honey to create depth and balance throughout, along with a hint of toasted oak and butter to round out the long, lingering finish. The perfect wine for balance, pair with a rich cacio o pepe, or even lobster and crab for a seafood night in!

La Crema Monterey Pinot Noir Rosé
Who says rosé is just for the warmer weather? This La Crema Rosé is perfect for a night in when dinner is just a little bit of everything! Delicate aromas of orange blossom, raspberry and watermelon are supported by subtle mineral notes and flavours of strawberry, Pink Lady apple and orange creamsicle. Its juicy acidity and flinty mineral notes drive a long finish. Pair with hummus and flatbreads, dips and crackers and charcuterie.

La Crema Russian River Chardonnay
This Chardonnay is a new release and is definitely one you’ll want to get your hands on. Aromas of fresh nectarine, green apple and magnolia blossoms are followed by flavours of Anjou pear, Meyer lemon and creme brûlée. This vintage presents balanced acidity along with a supple finish. Perfect for a special date night with your new significant other!
