Food Stash Foundation Hosts Fall Workshops

Food Stash will be hosting two workshops this October in support of their mission to educate the public on how to reduce food waste at home:

Foundations of Fermentation

Often sold out workshop is hosted in collaboration with Chef Brad Hendrickson. He will teach the foundations of fermentation, the importance of including fermented foods in your diet and how to tell whether your ferment has been successful. Guided through a hands-on fermentation process you’ll leave with your own sauerkraut and all materials needed to ferment at home.

  • Silicone fermentation lid
  • Glass fermentation weight

Learn to Make Kombucha

Come together to demystify Kombucha! You’ll leave this workshop with the confidence & supplies to brew your own kombucha at home. Chef Brad Hendrickson made a name for himself brewing small batch kombucha and has lots of knowledge to share.

  • 1L mason jar
  • Tea for brewing and fruit for secondary flavouring
