Fairmont Empress is launching an immersive and mystical Afternoon Tea experience this Halloween season. On Saturday, October 26th, from 11:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., a tea leaf reader will be present in the Lobby Lounge to share the art of tasseography with tea-goers.
Guests will enjoy the hotel’s iconic Afternoon Tea service, complete with an array of delicate sandwiches, freshly baked scones, and an assortment of sweet treats, with the option to enjoy the thrill of peering into the symbolism of tea leaves. Tea leaf reading, or tasseography, is a centuries-old tradition often associated with fortune-telling and mystical insights, making it an alluring and engaging experience for the Halloween season.
For this special event, the complimentary teacup readings will be provided by Rachael Bruton Haisell who will introduce the art of tea leaf reading and share any insights she may pick up. Ms. Haisell has been providing tea leaf readings for over 35 years, offering her clients a unique glimpse into what their future may hold.
