Bar Susu: 2022 NYE events

Make it a night to remember this New Year’s Eve as Mount Pleasant’s Bar Susu (209 East 6th Avenue) announces two inaugural events to ring in 2023 – a multi-course, family-style dinner and a special New Year’s Eve party. Guests can book one or both experiences online now at www.thisisbarsusu.com.

“Bar Susu is exactly the type of versatile venue where one can enjoy a seated, tasting menu and also celebrate the night away with a party,” says Cody Allmin, co-founder of Boxset Collective, the team behind Published on MainBar Susu, the upcoming NovellaTwin Sails Brewing, and Thorn & Burrow Wines“We’re excited to host our first of many NYE events in the space. We’ve had an incredible year, and it’s all thanks to the support and love the community have shown us. Let’s start next year off right!”

Bar Susu’s NYE Dinner ($180 per person, inclusive of tax and gratuity) features a selection of shareable plates by chef de cuisine Marc Marayag, a welcome cocktail by bar manager Joe Casson, wine pairings by wine director Brittany Hoorne (with an option to upgrade), and an amaro sipper after dinner. A variety of speciality add-ons are also available. Reservations  can be made for bookings between 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. via Tock. The full menu includes:

The Midnight Extravaganza Party ($125 per person, inclusive of tax and gratuity) kicks-off at 11 p.m. and runs until 2 a.m. There will be music by DJs Young Ancestors, while guests enjoy snacks (think Chicharones, Caviar Tots, and Togarashi Popcorn) and curated natural wine pours, including a sparkling variety for countdown at midnight all included in the ticket price. Tickets are currently available via Eventbrite.

“We’re definitely ending 2022 on a high night and starting 2023 off with some fun,” adds Aaron Sayomac, general manager of Bar Susu. “It’s going to be full-on the whole evening with great dishes, cocktails, wine pairings, music, and more. Come down for good food, awesome juice, and the best company.”
