This fall, ABURI Restaurants Canada is set to open the third location of its premium Japanese Washoku concept, ABURI Market (609 Granville Street), in downtown Vancouver. From freshly prepared grab-and-go sushi bentos, Japanese specialty snacks, to Iwate A5 Wagyu and exclusive imported goods from Japan, customers can expect the same quality and level service established at its Yaletown and West Vancouver stores. And, new to ABURI Market Downtown, a forthcoming new Japanese bakery concept.
“We first began exploring the Japanese Washoku concept during the pandemic, when we opened ABURI-To-Go (now renamed ABURI Market) in Minami’s former private room, our first grocerant, and from there, our vision brought us ABURI Market at Ambleside, and now, Downtown Vancouver,” explainsSeigo Nakamura, founder and CEO of Aburi Restaurants Canada. “I’m proud of our team for continuing to innovate and share with Vancouver more options to experience our creations. We look forward to opening later this year.”
At approximately 3,200 square feet, ABURI Market Downtown will become ABURI Restaurants Canada’s second largest Japanese Washoku destination. There will be a focus on a variety of prepared foods, bentos, signature platters, and Japanese snacks – ideal for those on-the-go and conveniently located steps away from transit in a high foot traffic area.
The forthcoming new Japanese bakery concept is currently being developed with sister-venue WA-BAGEL’s head baker Yukiko Iikura.
“Since launching ABURI Market Ambleside, we’ve always wanted to create a new bakery concept, and I’m excited to see what Yukiko creates,” adds Nakamura.
ABURI Market is expected to open this fall. For more information and to stay-up-to-date, please visit www.aburimarket.com or visit its Instagram page at @AburiMarket.
