Bufala releases new Game & Mushroom Menu

This fall, Bufala, Gooseneck Hospitality’s Italian-inspired pizzeria, is celebrating the bounty of BC’s backyard with the launch of a special Game & Mushroom Menu, an ode to former sister-restaurant Wildebeest’s legacy. The menu, which features several new dishes by executive chef Kevin Atkinson, is available now until November 30, 2024 at all three Bufala locations – Kerrisdale, Edgemont, and River District.

“At Wildebeest, we would celebrate wild game and foraged foods every fall season, and wanted to recapture some of that fun and excitement by bringing this tradition to Bufala,” says James Iranzad, Partner, Gooseneck Hospitality. “Italian food lends really well to these ingredients, and we look forward to having guests give them a try the next time they visit one of our locations.”

Bufala’s Game & Mushroom Menu currently features four dishes: a Bison Carpaccio with pine mushrooms, pickled shallots, mustard seeds, herb aioli, and focaccia crisps; a Smoked Duck Ham pizza with maitake mushrooms, balsamic roasted onions, taleggio cheese, and bianco; a Mushroom Risotto with roasted local mushrooms, truffle, parmigiano, and kale chips; and a Wild Boar Pappardelle with wild boar ragu, local porcini mushrooms, and parmigiano. Select features may also be available daily.

“We work with several of our amazing local suppliers to bring these dishes to life, including Two Rivers Meats and Oysters & King Mushrooms” adds Atkinson. “They ensure we have some of the freshest and best ingredients available to us.”

In addition to the limited Game & Mushroom Menu, Bufala has launched five-day, week-day lunches at its Kerrisdale and Edgemont locations.
