The Dr. Peter Centre is delighted to announce the 12th annual Pride Cocktail Kickoff event, an extraordinary evening of celebration and support for the Centre’s Day Health program. The Pride Cocktail Kickoff is set to take place on July 27, 2023, from 6 p.m. onwards at 745 Thurlow Rooftop. Set against the breathtaking city skyline backdrop, this event offers more than just a stunning vista. It is an opportunity to connect with fellow guests, forge new friendships and strengthen community bonds, and raise awareness for the vital services the Dr. Peter Centre provides.
The evening promises to be unforgettable, brimming with captivating entertainment, delectable refreshments, and the chance to win amazing raffle prizes such as a Grimson & Sons pride-themed pendant, a Tofino getaway with whale watching, a self-pampering Skoah gift certificate and 4 tickets to a Vancouver Canadians home game!
Vulnerable populations are often the first to feel the impacts of societal issues. This truth also holds for the participants at the Dr. Peter Centre. Our Day Health Program offers services to over 500 individuals dealing with challenging and complex health and social issues. The program offers comprehensive services, including medical care, nursing support, counselling, nutrition, art, music and recreational therapy. Through a holistic approach, the Day Health program empowers participants to manage their health, enhance their quality of life, and build resilience.

The Pride Cocktail Kickoff event allows the community to unite and show solidarity with the LGBTQ+ community and individuals impacted by HIV/AIDS. Funds raised during the event will directly contribute to the Day Health program, ensuring its continued impact on the lives of those served by the Dr. Peter Centre.
