Nourish Kitchen & Cafe sets the table for new evening service

One of downtown Victoria’s most popular brunch spots, Nourish Kitchen & Cafe (225 Quebec Street), is excited to officially launch a brand new dinner service, beginning May 17, 2023. The menu will be an extension of its day program, featuring inventive farm-to-table dishes focused on honouring the cycles of the seasons through thoughtfully sourced whole foods and local ingredients.

“I can’t wait to revisit Nourish Kitchen & Cafe as a guest to enjoy their new dinner menu when it launches,” says Hayley Rosenberg, former owner of Nourish Kitchen & Cafe, who founded the beloved James Bay space in 2015. “When it came time to pass on the torch, there was no one better than Maxime [Durand], whose cooking philosophy and ethos closely resembles my own, especially from his time as executive chef at Agrius. Nourish is in great hands.”

Nourish’s new dinner menu, created by chef Maxime Durand, will be guided by what’s naturally diverse, in-season and available. At launch, guests can expect to see vegetable-forward dishes on the menu, such as Sprouting Brassicas with cashew hollandaise; and Kale Salad with buckwheat and mushrooms. Other delectable options include Tuna Crudo with olives; Black Cod with lemon and parsley served with Parisian gnocchi; and Cavatelli with Peas, lamb, and mint.

Guests can choose from a wide selection of drink options to pair with dinner. The beverage menu features a carefully curated wine, beer, and cider list focused on local suppliers, with a selection of handcrafted cocktails to follow in the coming months.

“We love Nourish and what it stands for and will continue to evolve the brand Hayley started, while being committed to creating soul-touching, health-giving dining experiences with our community,” adds Durand.

Nourish Kitchen & Cafe’s dinner service opens on May 17, 2023, and will be open five days a week, from Wednesday to Sunday, 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. Reservations can be made via its website at www.nourishkitchen.ca. Walkins are always welcome.
