Buttermere Patisserie: 2023 Valentine’s Cakes and Treats

Pinterest LinkedIn Tumblr

For this year’s internationally celebrated season of love, Buttermere Patisserie has round up a simple collection to cater to various forms of love whether it be romantic love, platonic love, or simply love for dessert. Featuring two delightful cakes and a limited edition 9-piece chocolate box, Buttermere’s creations are bound to please the tastebuds and make for a sweet touch on any occasion.

The Love Note is an elegant cake with perfect layers of chocolate sponge, stracciatella namelaka, and a cherry compôte presented as a concentric circle.  Concentric circles symbolize harmonious interrelationships, shared outlook, and long term commitment.  With a positive connotation and a flawless balance of tartness and sweetness, the Love Note cake is available for order in two sizes: 4.5 inches at $48 and 6 inches at $70.

For those interested in a more visually universal cake, the Butterfly Valentine is ideal for any type of setting. A 6-inch mousse version of a strawberry shortcake, this sweet treat is made with a flaky strawberry crumble crust topped with flexible cacao sponge, mixed berry compôte, and a Zéphyr™ light mousse for $70.

Chocolate is always a good idea and Buttermere has created a 9-piece box of handcrafted bonbons that glisten and gleam. With three distinct hues and flavours, each box is priced at $30 and includes:

  • Red silver, 71% dark chocolate and freeze dried cherry and cherry ganache;
  • Silver rose gold, passion fruit chocolate paired with pineapple ganache and popping candies; and
  • Black gold, 34% white chocolate with sesame paste and feuilletine.

Both cakes and the limited edition chocolate box are now available for order on the Buttermere website until February 11th. Cake pick up will be at Torafuku (958 Main Street) and delivery is available at an additional fee in the Greater Vancouver Regional District from February 1st to 14th.
