Legends Haul is making some exciting waves. Starting later this month, Metro Vancouver’s one-of-a-kind food company will move its popular online grocery shop to B.C. grocer Meridian Farm Market, featuring all of Legends’ customer-favourite categories. Legends Haul will now focus solely on expanding its fast-growing wholesale, distribution, and catering business.

“We are thrilled Meridian Farm Market is becoming our largest online retailer, where our current customers and a brand new audience will now have access to our entire Friends of Legends collection, in-house brands, and so much more,” explains Jillian Sheridan, partner at Legends Haul. “Founded in 1989, Meridian is an amazing family-owned brand, with stores across the Fraser Valley and North Shore. We know our grocery shop will carry on under the Penner family’s guidance and leadership, and we’re excited to be one of their distribution vendors for years to come.”

Meridian Farm Market started out as Meridian Meats & Seafood with one store in Port Coquitlam more than 30 years ago. Today, Meridian has locations in not only Port Coquitlam, but also Langley, White Rock, Tsawwassen, North Vancouver, Maple Ridge and Mission. Ralph’s Farm Market is also part of the Meridian family. More recently Meridian has expanded their business to include their own online grocery delivery platform.

Commencing October 27, 2022, Legends’ entire grocery store will be available online at Meridian Farm Market under a special new category, Legends Haul. Customers will be able to find fan favourites, including Nightingale Pizza, Essentials by Legends, Hills Legacy Meats, Bohème Grove and Dicky’s Dumps.

“In just a short few years, Legends Haul has cultivated a beloved following with consumers through the brands and products they carry, and we cannot wait to further this success by incorporating a full Legends Haul grocery division within Meridian Farm Market,” says Josh Penner, CEO of Meridian Farm Market. “Like Legends, our goal is to promote B.C.’s local food ecosystem as much as possible, keeping our province’s bounty competitive and accessible. By bringing the Legends’ grocery store under the Meridian banner, we hope to widen our customer reach within the province.”

When Legends Haul was first founded in 2018, its aim was to bridge the gap between the local farmer and producer to the end consumer through wholesale and distribution. In this past year, Legends’ wholesale and distribution business has exponentially grown, servicing both food service and retail markets. Its product list is impressive and in-demand. The team is growing, and Legends Haul is already on the lookout for a larger warehouse and campus-style location.

Legends Haul continues to build upon its expanding Essentials by Legends Haul line, where speciality dishes, sauces, dips, and freezer goods are made by in-house chefs out of Legends’ commissary kitchen. For private dining, special events, and corporate meals, customers can consider Experience Food by Legends – catering for events big and small, led by experienced chefs Alex Ploughman, Tristan Katcher, and Edie Steensma.

For the holiday season, Legends is bringing back its popular and highly curated gift boxes for corporate orders. They have a long list of community events and pop-ups within the community coming up as well.

“As we enter this next era of Legends Haul by returning to our roots, we’re entirely confident the online grocery mix we’ve curated is in great hands with Meridian. This is just the beginning,” adds Sheridan.

  1. That is interesting. . Makes sense though sense a lot of items at Legends Haul match the Meridian Farm Market customers (pizza, sausage, meat, etc). Wonder if MFM will still have their private label
