The frenzy of BC Spot Prawn season is officially here, and Fresh Ideas Start Here (FISH), British Columbia’s purveyor of fresh, sustainable seafood, is making it even easier for White Rock and Richmond residents to order live BC Spot Prawns. Called Park N Prawn, seafood lovers can pre-order online for pick-up at Uli’s Restaurant in White Rock or straight from the docks in Richmond.
“BC Spot Prawn season is only here a few short weeks out of the year, and we have customers from all over Metro Vancouver,” says Jenice Yu, owner of Fresh Ideas Start Here. “Although people can already pick-up from either our Burnaby or Vancouver stores, we wanted to make it even easier in other communities. Uli’s has been a wonderful partner for us in White Rock. We look forward to having even more people enjoy fresh, live BC Spot Prawns.”
The two Park N Prawn pop-up sites allow White Rock and Richmond residents to get live BC Spot Prawns by simply pre-ordering online at ParkNPrawn.ca, picking a date and time, park, and pick-up.
In White Rock, orders can be picked up this Saturday, May 22, 2021 at Uli’s Restaurant (15023 Marine Drive), with more dates to come. Minimum order is 1lb and orders must be placed by Friday at 9 p.m.
In Richmond, orders can be picked up starting this Saturday, May 22, 2021 at FISH’s Richmond headquarters, located at 11551 Twigg Place.
“We recently conducted a social media poll and asked our followers if they would buy spot prawns from us if we could get our hands on them,” says Tyson Blume of Uli’s Restaurant, a White Rock strip staple for more than 30 years. “The response was overwhelming! We’re thrilled to work with Fresh Ideas Start Here to make it happen.”
For those who live in Metro Vancouver but cannot pick-up, they can also order fresh BC Spot Prawn tails from local online grocer Legends Haul for a limited time.
