Sour Patch Kids Launches First-Ever Mystery Flavour in Canada this summer

For the first time ever, Mondelez Canada’s Sour Patch Kids brand is introducing an all-new mystery flavour for a limited time, inviting fans to play detective for a chance to win $25,000. The Sour Patch Kids brand loves to stir up mischief and fun, and this campaign aims to engage loyal fans directly in the guessing game.

During the contest period, from now to August 15, Canadian residents over 13 will be able to follow the Mystery Kid’s journey to find out its flavour. Every two weeks through to July 22, a new clue will be released on Thursdays on SourPatchKidsMystery.ca. The clues play to the playful and mischievous nature of the brand and so far include:

  • It gives laughs and can be a riot cause when it flies nobody’s silent.
  • Back in the 80s it came by storm, but not the 80s you think of.

In addition, Sour Patch Kids is teaming up with Gas and Convenience partners to create even more integration and interest in the contest and Sour Patch Kids candy. Circle-K and Couche-Tarde will be offering specialty frozen beverages for a limited time during the contest: The Circle K Sour Patch Mystery Froster and the Couche-Tarde Sour Patch Mystery Sloche.

The Mystery flavour is now available across Canada at participating retailers. On August 27, the Sour Patch Kids brand will reveal the Mystery flavour and select one lucky winner in Canada for the grand prize of $25,000.
