In a move that could only be pulled off by a true icon, KFC Canada drops a new bucket lid that doubles as a playable holiday record. The new Kentucky Fried Carols record lets fried chicken lovers savour the sounds of KFC while enjoying a delicious holiday meal with loved ones. Taking a hint from Colonel Sander’s KFC Holiday albums of the late 60’s, experience four classic carols with iconic sounds of the brand – like chicken frying. A random draw for @KFC_canada followers on Instagram will decide who will be one of the lucky few to receive this festive collectible.
“You’ll be surprised how soothing the sound of chicken frying is when layered into a classic Holiday carol,” says Dhaval Bhatt, Co-Founder & Chief Creative Officer, Courage Inc., who produced the Kentucky Fried Carols record for KFC Canada. “This is an ultra limited edition which is sure to become a collectible.”

The legendary KFC bucket of fried chicken is a favourite for holiday get-togethers and Kentucky Fried Carols puts the sizzle into gatherings with four Holiday classics that sample actual sounds of KFC:
- We Wish you a Merry Christmas, composed with 11 herbs and spices
- Jingle Bells, composed with KFC wrapping paper
- Deck the Halls, composed with the KFC fryer
- The twelve days of Christmas, composed with finger lickin’ feasting

From December 9 to 16, Canadians simply need to follow @KFC_Canada on Instagram, comment on the Kentucky Fried Carols post, and tag a friend for the chance to win the limited edition bucket lid record, as well as the protective sleeve so the tunes can become a Holiday tradition. A random draw on December 16 will decide which lucky KFC follower will get to experience the full KFC Canada Holiday sensory experience – fried chicken and Kentucky Fried Carols.
