Desi Indian Lounge is making the longer summer days and nights even sweeter with the launch of twice-daily Happy Hour food and drink features now available on the menu at the dining hotspot located in the heart of Downtown Vancouver at 1355 Hornby Street.
Available daily from 2:30 to 5:30 p.m. and 9:30 p.m. to close, Desi’s new Happy Hour food menu features a choice of Paneer or Chicken Thepla Tacos, Nachos, Chili and Momos ($9/$10 ea.), Gobi Manchurian and Shimla Kebabs for $9 each and Chicken Lollipops and Kerala Pepper Chicken for $10 each plus tax.
Desi’s Happy Hour cocktail highlights include such signature, hand-crafted $20 libations as the ’Valley of the Spirits’(yogurt-washed Amrut, Fino sherry, salted cumin syrup, cumin foam),’Harvest Reverie’(Nodo tequiliana, sour carrot, cardamom syrup, cardamom bitters),’Bengal Martini’(Tanqueray No. 10 gin, Panch Phoron vermouth, bay leaf tea, olive achar),’Crimson Beach’(Ron Zacapa 23 rum, Campari, coconut lemongrass cordial), ‘Golden Shores’(Akvavit, banana liqueur, lemon, turmeric, egg white) and ‘City of Dreams’ (Masala Chai Ketel One vodka, sour mango, soda).
Other notable Happy Hour drink features include a selection of BC Craft Beer for $5 per sleeve, Tamarind or Jalapeño Margaritas or Aperol Spritzes for $11 ea., 6oz pours of House Red or White Wine for $7 ea., a choice of vodka, tequila, gin or rum Highballs for $5 (1oz) or $7 (2oz) ea., Mango Lassis for $4 ea. and Mango or Strawberry Mojitos for $6.5 ea.
