2025 Valentine’s at Bacchus Restaurant & Lounge

Bacchus Restaurant & Lounge, located inside Vancouver’s only Relais & Chateaux property Wedgewood Hotel & Spa, is celebrating the month of love with two special Valentine-themed experiences – A Taste of Romance four-course dinner by executive chef Stefan Hartmann and Valentine’s Afternoon Tea. Reservations are available online now.

“Bacchus’s elegant dining room and timeless charm truly invites guests to linger and savour every moment, making it the perfect destination for a delicious meal on Valentine’s Day,” says Elpie Marinakis, co-owner and managing director of Wedgewood Hotel & Spa. “We look forward to welcoming guests on the day of love and making the evening extra special for the occasion.”

A TASTE OF ROMANCE
Available on February 14 and 15, 2025, this four-course tasting menu experience is $185++ per person, with optional wine pairings for $85 per person. Bookings can be made directly via Tock

Beginning with a chef’s selection amuse-bouche, guests are invited to choose from a variety of options, including an appetizer of Poached East Coast Lobster, featuring a zucchini lobster roll, lobster fumée, and semi-dried tomato; Confit Ling Cod in a classic chive beurre blanc alongside black salsify and crispy shallots; and Grilled Beef Tenderloin with braised oxtail, pommes purée, green asparagus, peas, and gem lettuce. This culinary journey concludes with the classic French dessert Baba au Rum (served for two, of course), its distinctive richness lightened with flavours of pineapple and mango, and plated next to a scoop of pastry chef Samson Iza-Fellows’s house-made bourbon-and-vanilla ice cream.

“Valentine’s Day is always a special day at Bacchus,” adds Hartmann. “Our goal is to further elevate our menu with limited-edition dishes to ensure every guest experiences a very memorable meal with us.”

VALENTINE’S AFTERNOON TEA

Available during three February weekends, February 8, 9, 15, 16, 22, and 23, 2025, with two-hour seatings at 2:30 p.m. and 3 p.m., Bacchus’s famous Afternoon Tea will feature a Valentine’s theme ($72++ per person). Reservations are available via Tock.

For an additional charge, guests may enhance their experience with champagne and wines from B.C. and France, cocktails, as well as a stunning Seafood Platter of West Coast oysters and prawns with classic accompaniments of mignonette, cocktail sauce, and fresh citrus.
