Flat White is an Aussie-style latte made with two shots of espresso, steamed whole milk and a dot for latte art. Starbucks in Canada and the United States just launched this drink and
Starbucks uses their 2 bold ristretto shots matched with steamed whole milk to create a not too strong, not too creamy flavor. The extra ristretto shot ensures that it’s bolder than a latte, yet steamed milk keeps it smoother than an americano.
When I ordered this in Waterfront Centre location, the barista’s were quite new to this drink and could not make the signature white circle in the middle of the cup. The whole milk does give it a very rich creamy texture, but I really didn’t like it.
I think I will stick with ordering dry cappuccinos to have the bold espresso taste.
