Starbucks: Ombre Pink, Matcha Lemonade, Violet Refresher

Starbucks has launched 3 new drinks this week and as a bonus, if you purchase them, $0.25 cents goes towards a great cause – Born This Way Foundation to empower young people to be braver and kinder. We definitely need more of that in the world. Participating locations are promoting the Ombre Pink Starbucks Refresher, Matcha Lemonade, and Violet Starbucks Refresher. As Summer is almost upon us, these would be great drinks to pair with the hot heat.

Ombre Pink Starbucks Refresher

This is a light, fruity Cool Lime Starbucks Refreshers Beverage with Coconut Beverage, a splash of Teavana Shaken Iced Passion Tango Tea and a lime wheel, for a bright burst of hibiscus notes. You can notice the ombre and the liquids have different densities. Upon first taste, it reminded me of a pink popsicle.

Matcha Lemonade

It uses their finely ground Teavana matcha green tea combined with crisp lemonade then shaken with ice to create a refreshingly sweet, delicious drink that’s a delightfully vibrant green colour. Of the bunch, this one was my favourite. The lemonade is the dominate taste in this.

Violet Starbucks Refresher

This has sweet blackberries and tart hibiscus in their Very Berry Hibiscus Starbucks Refreshers Beverage swirled together with creamy coconut milk and ice, creating refreshing sips.

Lady Gaga + Born This Way Foundation: Cups of Kindness

To benefit Lady Gaga’s Born This Way Foundation, Starbucks will donate $0.25 US for each Ombré Pink Starbucks Refreshers, Matcha Lemonade and Violet Starbucks Refreshers beverage sold from participating Starbucks stores in the U.S. and Canada to the Born This Way Foundation to empower young people to be braver and kinder. This goes on from June 13 till June 19th 2017. Starbucks will make a minimum donation of $250,000 US, but the more the better.
