The Shredded Wheat Dark Chocolate Cereal looks really good on store shelves. It’s healthy yet indulgent at the same time. But not too indulgent because it’s dark chocolate. I was really drawn by the dark chocolate flavour.
I’ve had Shredded Wheat a long time ago and I just remember the bland taste and crisp texture.
Where and How Much?
I got this at Superstore for $2.97 a box, but you can probably find this at major grocery stores across Canada.

In the box is 1 x 480g of Shredded Wheat Dark Chocolate Cereal.
Taste Test
Each Shedded Wheat Dark Chocolate is quite hefty, so when I pour milk into it, none of the float like other cereals. Just sink to the bottom.
The Shredded Wheat gets soggy really quickly. Even with the dark chocolate, it taste really really bland like cardboard. There are small pieces of dark chocolate inside but really doesn’t add much to the cereal.
Once the shredded wheat gets soggy, you’ll be able to find the dark chocolate hiding inside.
Nonetheless, it’s not very sweet at all.

Overall, I would not get this again. I really wanted a bit more chocolate from this version. It was just so hard to finish.

I love shredded wheat dark chocolate. There is just a hint of dark chocolate which I love. I buy it in multiples of 2 or 4 so I don’t run out.
