Milano Coffee Roasters has a hidden location in the Mount Pleasant area. It’s on West 8th near Columbia Street right across from Jonathan Rogers Park. They serve up delicious coffee, pastries and sandwiches in this awesome area.
It’s an cool space to work or just hang out with some friends.
They also have a patio area for those hot summer days. In our case, we came during on of the rainy Vancouver days in the summer, so the view wasn’t as great as on a sunny day. We didn’t mind since Vancouver really needed the rain.
Also, if you’re out on the patio, it’s a fun place to just people watch.
Latte was what my coworker ordered. Nothing like a delicious latte on a cold rainy day.
Cappuccino is my drink of choice. It has a lot of foam and they make it right here. Some other places make it like a latte. I loved the taste of the espresso and the amount of milk and foam were great.
Blueberry scone has a nice crispy top. It was a good size pastry and goes well with tea or coffee.
Lemon Loaf was moist and had good amount of lemon, poppy seeds and hints of coconut. A good twist on the original lemon poppy seed loaf.
Overall, it’s a nice cafe and enjoyable place to just hang out and have a snack. If I lived closer, I would come here more often. The tradeoffs of living in the subburbs.
