Cornucopia, Whistler’s beloved fall festival of food and drink, kicks off this weekend on Friday, November 4. With a delicious line up of Signature EventsDrink Seminars and restaurant offerings, the first weekend provides a tasting menu of what’s to follow all month long.

“Every year, Cornucopia evolves to incorporate distinct experiences that reflect trends of the epicurious. This means that, while we continue to deliver festival favourites such as Taste of the World and House Party: Best of BC, we also create new Signature Events such as Drag Me to Brunch, and the Squamish Lil’wat Cultural Centre’s Cornucopia Fall Feast. Tapping into the expertise across North America’s food and beverage sector, a breadth of culinary stages and drink seminars round out the festival experience with contemporary subject matter.” – Justina Armstrong, Director of Operations, Cornucopia

Beyond Cornucopia’s in-house programming, renown restaurants such as Legs Diamond and the Bearfoot Bistro have curated distinct culinary events of their own; Legs Diamond Chef Greg Pettit and Pemberton farmers have teamed up to present a Farmers Dinner with Growers, Beer, and Good Wine every weekend in November, and the Bearfoot Bistro’s Pastry Chef Scott Penfold will prepare sweet treats to pair with in-house cocktails at Bearfoot Bistro: Cocktail and Dessert Pairing on Saturday, November 5.

From November 5 to November 27, an impressive line up of more than 40 Drink Seminars will be led by industry experts who will share their knowledge and refine the palates of those eager to learn. New and noteworthy seminars include A Closer Study of the Lillooet TerroirA Day in the Life of Café CultureConcrete Beliefs: Wood-Free Wines, and Must Havé Agave. Whether enjoyed as standalone events or accompanied with attending the Signature Events, seminars are intimate gatherings that deliver a deeper dive on the flavours found in bottles and barrels. In turn, CRUSH Grand Tasting is the place to either peak your interest in seminars to join – or, it is the place to put your seminar learnings to the test.
