To celebrate Asian Heritage Month, Coho Collective (Coho) has put together a limited-edition, pantry staples three-pack, featuring versatile sauces and more by three Asian-led small businesses – Salty CabbageTrue Nosh, and Van Koji. The Asian Heritage Month Three-Pack is available for the month of May for local delivery, pick-up, or nationwide shipping.

“We, at Coho, are so lucky to have so many talented member businesses working out of our commissaries,” says Jennifer Chan, spokesperson and CMO of Coho Collective. “For Asian Heritage Month, we wanted to make it easier for people to discover new flavours or enjoy familiar ones, especially for Canadians who may not otherwise be able to try creations from some of Vancouver’s talented Asian-led businesses.”

The Asian Heritage Month Three-Pack ($35) includes Salty Cabbage’s premium kimchiTrue Nosh’s XOXO sauce, and Van Koji’s shio koji.

Salty Cabbage’s premium kimchi is handcrafted in small batches, made using traditional family recipes. It contains no MSG or preservatives, and maximizes natural sweetness by using locally-sourced apple, pear, radish, and onion.

True Nosh’s XOXO sauce is a sustainable, vegan version of Hong Kong’s original XO sauce, made with wood ear mushrooms and daylilies. It’s perfect for stir fries, soups, noodles, dumplings, and contains no added sugar.

Van Koji’s shio koji imparts intense umami flavour with only half the amount of sodium. A natural probiotic seasoning that’s great for digestive health, it can be used to tenderize meat or to enhance sauces, dips, and dressings.

For the month of May, Coho Collective is shining a light on some of its Asian-led member businesses with profile stories, videos, and photos via its social media accounts, including Instagram at @cohocommissary.
