While in Vegas, I always have to try to eat as much as I can. One go-to place for breakfast is Eggslut in the Cosmopolitan Hotel. Eggslut originated from Los Angeles and there are a few other location in the states.

On a Friday, I wandered down to Eggslut to get a taste of their breakfast sandwiches and there was already a line at 10am.

The line looked long, but I waited about 10 minutes before putting in my order. Waiting for the food wasn’t too bad.

There is minimal seating, so if you are in a large group, you’ll be out of luck getting a seat. If you are insistent about getting a seat, you’ll just have to wait. The turnaround time is quite quick.

Sausage, Egg and cheese sandwich

This was delicious and perfect for the morning. The sausage patty had lots of flavour and wasn’t too salty. A good balance of ingredients. The egg yolk was slightly runny, so when I bit into the sandwich, I got it all over my shirt. Napkins are definitely needed.

Fresh Pressed Orange Juice

What better way to balance out all the food I’ve been having in Vegas with some fresh orange juice. A good pairing with the sandwiches here, but I wish there was more pulp in their juice.

Final Thoughts

Overall, I really enjoyed it and I wish I had more than one sandwich. I’ll definitely be back next time. There’s a good amount of choices on their menu and it’s a quick meal.

Eggslut Menu, Reviews, Photos, Location and Info - Zomato

Heading to Las Vegas, I decided to take a direct flight out of Vancouver International Airport. Last time I flew out of Bellingham, but I didn’t want to do that again as driving across the border is troublesome.

Air Canada had a good price and convenient times to board the plan in the morning. It boarded at 8:40 and took off at 9:20am. I was booked on  Air Canada 1832 in Economy class on a Boeing 767. It was operated by Air Canada Rouge, so the plane is newer, but it is a bit smaller.

It was busy at check-in before the flight, so I made sure to get my electronic boarding pass loaded onto my phone to skip the line.

The best ways to avoid waits is to only do carry on baggage and have

In the seat, there is one outlet for a computer or small device. I didn’t use it as the flight was pretty short.

Being 5’3 I didn’t mind the size of the seats, as I don’t take up too much space. The person beside me was a bit taller and his knees were pretty close up the the seat in front of him.

The overhead bins were a bit smaller, so they made me check in my bad free of charge as the wheels on my small suitcase didn’t fit comfortably into the bins. If you want to avoid checking in, make sure you have a compact suitcase.

The weather above was gorgeous with the rocky mountains.

We do get one complimentary beverage and I usually choose the tomato juice and it is scientifically proven to taste better in flight.

Overall, it was a good flight at a good price. It got me from Vancouver to Las Vegas with no issues. Landing and take off were smooth.

mm-world-vegas

M&M’s World in Las Vegas in another cool place on The Strip to do some quick shopping for souvenirs or browsing. It’s free to enter and there’s 4 floor of chocolatey goodness. It is located close to the Coca Cola store too.

mm-world-candy

The rainbow wall on the second floor features 22 different M&M’s! It’s cool to look at. There are also candy dispensers and shirts on this floor too.

mm-world-top-floor

The fourth and final floor, you get an up-close look at an M&M’s sponsored Toyota Camry race car and a bunch of NASCAR-themed M&M products like model cars.

mm-world-car

Look at that car. Lot of people can be seen taking pictures of it.

mm-world-entrance

We came out of here only getting a pack of multi-colored M&Ms. I wanted to get a candy dispenser but I didn’t like any of the ones they were selling.

When we were in Vegas, we spent 5 days staying at Aria. We got a good package via Allegiant Air and we heard it was a nice family friendly hotel. It’s crazy big and has about 4,000 guest suites, 16 restaurants, 10 bars/nigh clubs and a big gambling space. As a guest, you have access to the pool space and facilities. Currently, they are hosting Zarkana by Cirque du Soleil.

It is located right near the middle of the strip and is super convenient to get around either by taxi or walking.

They have these huge statues out front. It probably has some symbolic meaning.

aria-lobby

You check in on the right side of the lobby. It takes a bit of time to check-in if there’s a long line.

Checking Out is much easier! You can check out by texting or emailing. Once done, you can just drop off your electronic keys in the boxes by the exit. It literally takes seconds to check out. I was really impressed how much they would make the process as painless as possible.

aria-hallway

Getting to the room was a maze because of the shape of the hotel. It twists and turns but just follow the signs and you will find your way.

aria-bed

Our room was a Deluxe Room with 2 queen-sized beds with an adjacent room connected by a door. Perfect for a family of 5.

The room was all controlled by a tablet beside the bed. It controls the TV, temperature, lights, blinds, etc.

aria-tv

It was a nice space, but do be aware, if you move anything from the mini fridge, you get charged $50. Pretty steep, but I think it’s because they don’t want you to use it to cool your other beverages if you have any.

aria-bathroom

The washroom is nice, but the frosted glass may be a bit scary for some. No one really wants to kind see you do your business. Just make sure you close the main door to the washroom.

aria-shower

The shower and the tub are in the same glassed area. You can take a bath and a shower at the same time.

aria-monte0carlo

The Monte Carlo and New York New York and be seen from the lobby area. Taxi’s come quickly and isn’t a problem at all. But then again, taxi’s are everywhere on the strip.

aria-baggage

When you check out, you can leave your luggage at the hotel until it’s time to go. Our flight was in the afternoon, so we wanted to spend some time getting lunch and picking up a few souvenirs.

Overall, I enjoyed our stay and would definitely consider Aria again.

grand-canyon-no-rail

When we were in Vegas for 5 days, it just seemed right to take a tour of the Grand Canyon for the day. I’ve never been, so we were really eager to go. The downside is that it would be too difficult to get there on our own, so we found Grand Canyon Tours.

For $79.99 per person, we would get:

  • Pick up from our hotel
  • Complimentary morning snack which checking-in for the tour at Miracle Mile Shops
  • Photo Opportunity at the Hoover Dam
  • All you can eat lunch buffet
  • National Park Rim and Village tour
  • Bright Angel Lodge

The tour begins at 6:30am and will return back to Vegas at around 9:30pm. It’s an all day trip as it is still quite far away.

grand-canyon-tour-bus

The bus is pretty standard. It’s clean and the best part is that it has Wifi. As I am constantly needing to be connected to the internet, it was definitely a plus. The seats are 2 by 2 and there’s a washroom in back back.

During the long drives, our driver – Frosty entertained us with great insight into the area, fun facts, and jokes. They will also play a few movies to keep you entertained.

grand-canyon-hoover-dam

The first stop was the Hoover Dam. We got about 20 minutes to look at it and take some pictures. It was beautiful and its amazing hearing how difficult it was to build.

grand-canyon-buffet-wait

Next stop was the lunch buffet at the Grand Depot Cafe in Williams and it was a madhouse with all the other tour buses there. At least 3 or 4 others. You wait to get seated and it didn’t take that long since they seems to have a system to seat everyone in an efficient manner.

The buffet is included in tour price, so if you are feeling nice, you can leave a tip for the servers.

grand-canyon-lunch-buffet-crowd

If you are part of the rush, you will see bodies everywhere. It took me a while to figure out how the lines worked.

grand-canyon-lunch-salad

I grabbed from salad from the salad bar. It’s pretty average, it’s not fancy at all.

grand-canyon-lunch-buffet

The food really wasn’t impressive at all. Lots of Mexican food options.

Grand Depot Cafe on Urbanspoon

grand-canyon-tourist

Once you got off the bus and arrived at the Grand Canyon, you will see this. TONS and TONS of tourists like me. There are 2 areas like this and it gets quite annoying if you want to take amazing pictures from the edge. I would suggest avoiding this area and walk more to the left.

grand-canyon-railless

You will see an unrailed area. It does seem dangerous but just don’t get right near the edge and you will be fine.

grand-canyon-edge

The most I was wiling to do is just sit on some rocks. It really is a beautiful canyon. It amazed me by its vast size.

grand-canyon-crazy

It’s also great for people watching. You can really go to the extreme and get fabulous pictures, but for a person like me, I couldn’t do what these two were doing.

grand-canyon-s

After that section, they take you to Bright Angel Lodge for an alternative view of the canyon.

grand-canyon-sky

Whether you have a smartphone or an SLR, you’ll be able to amazing photos because thats just how amazing the canyon is.

Once we were done at the Grand Canyon, we begin the long trip back to Las Vegas. They make a pit stop at a Convenience store with a Subway if you get hungry. You have the option to be dropped off at the same hotel you were picked up or ask the bus driver to drop you off at another hotel. Instead of returning back to the Aria, we decided to get off at Treasure Island. You get back at 9:30pm, but because of the traffic on the strip and the order of which hotels they go to first, the timing may not be accurate.

Bacchanal-Buffet-line

Bacchanal Buffet in Caesars Palace is The Strip’s newest buffet. It was named Best Buffet in Las Vegas by USA Today, Las Vegas Review Journal and Las Vegas Weekly. They are heavily advertising all over The Strip and it’s very hard to miss.

They have over 500 items available and once you step inside, you will actually believe it. There’s a long line up, so when we arrived at 5:30pm, we were the last people they let line up. After that, everyone else makes electronic reservations and come back a few hours later. We waited about 45 minutes until we got seated. Even if you have a reservation, you will still be waiting.

If you are a fan of buffets, it’s definitely worth the wait. It costs $50 for the dinner buffet.

Bacchanal-Buffet-dining-area

The dining is very nice. There’s tons of table inside.

Bacchanal-Buffet-queue

When we got our table, the staff was nice enough to give us a quick tour of where everything was located. We were very amazed by the size of the buffet.

Bacchanal-Buffet-juice

They have a mini juice bar. There’s horchata, grapefruit juice, and some other weird flavours. It was a cool concept but most of the drinks tasted bad.

Included in the buffet price are the usual tea, pop and juice. Orange juice..apple juice…the usual.

Bacchanal-Buffet-legs

The seafood section was the first place where we gravitated towards. It’s where you get your moneys worth! Seafood! These ones are chilled crab legs.

Bacchanal-Buffet-steamed-legs

You can alternatively get hot steamed crab legs in the back section of the buffet. They give you a plate full of them.

Bacchanal-Buffet-mussels

There are mussels! They were beautifully presented.

Bacchanal-Buffet-shrimp

Piles of shrimp!

Bacchanal-Buffet-shrimp-shooter

I couldn’t say not to shrimp, so i got some. There are also oyster shooters in a red sauce.

Bacchanal-Buffet-mussel-oyster

Oyster and mussels. They were ok, but not very fresh, which is expected because they don’t have an ocean nearby.

Bacchanal-Buffet-ceviche

Ceviche comes in small shot glasses. It didn’t taste very good. Crab gaspacho was the orange item in the shot glass.

Bacchanal-Buffet-crawfish

Crawfish were there too. It looked spicy, but thats just the colour of their shells. The size of them were a tad small.

Bacchanal-Buffet-bread

All that bread! All those carbs.

Bacchanal-Buffet-cheese

A good amount of cheese selection.

Bacchanal-Buffet-meat-plate

Of course, there is also a lot of cured meats. So good.

Bacchanal-Buffet-dimsum

Feeling like asian food? They have dim sum and a few noodles, rice and soup items.

Bacchanal-Buffet-congee

Even congee with chinese donut. It was pretty decent.

Bacchanal-Buffet-meat-cutter

The meat section was beautiful, you can ask for ribs, beef brisket, sausages, ribs, etc. They have a wide variety to order.

Bacchanal-Buffet-trays

There’s also a bunch of sides too. A lot more than this image.

Bacchanal-Buffet-basket

Fried chicken comes in cute little baskets and there are hot dogs and sliders.

Bacchanal-Buffet-main

There’s scallops, fish, and some veggies.

Bacchanal-Buffet-meat-mac

Beef Brisket, ribs, prime rib and some mac and cheese.

Bacchanal-Buffet-meat

It was so good my other sister got the same thing.

Bacchanal-Buffet-inner-dessert

The mains are pretty good, but the dessert has its own selection and boy….there are a lot of choices.

Bacchanal-Buffet-cake-pop

Cake pops look cute.

Bacchanal-Buffet-cheesecake

Panna Cotta and cheese cake.

Bacchanal-Buffet-cookies

Macarons, cookies, and some other things.

Bacchanal-Buffet-cupcake

Lots of cupcakes to choose from too.

Bacchanal-Buffet-flan

Rows of panna cotta and custard. The caramel custard was pretty damn good.

Bacchanal-Buffet-gelato

Gelato and ice cream.

Bacchanal-Buffet-pastries

There’s so much dessert.

Bacchanal-Buffet-stawberry

Chocolate covered Long steamed strawberries are a must!!!

Bacchanal-Buffet-shaved-ice-station

There’s a shaved ice station too.

Bacchanal-Buffet-crepe

Crepe station and you can top it with whatever you want. Your sweet tooth will love you.

Jean-philippe-patisserie-sign

Jean Philippe is the Executive Pastry Chef at ARIA Resort & Casino, has brought his expertise and passion for French gourmet to Jean-Philippe Pattisserie. The pattisserie is located next to the elevators to the hotel rooms. There is also another location inside Bellagio.

Jean-philippe-patisserie-gifts

There is a huge retail area where you can purchase chocolate as gift to bring home.

Jean-philippe-patisserie-packaged

Some items can be quite pricey, but its really good.

Jean-philippe-patisserie-lineup

A lot of people love to come here for the crepes. During peak hours, you can see a long line up.

Jean-philippe-patisserie-crepes

We were told the crepes were really good, so we decided to get a few of them. The crepes range from $7 to $12 depending on what you are ordering. We got the chicken crepe ($11.95), Salmon crepe ($11.95) and Berry crepe ($10.50).

Jean-philippe-patisserie-chicken-crepe

Chicken crepe ($11.95) comes with grilled chicken breast, spinach, chipotle sauce, piquillos peppers, swiss cheese and a lot of mayo. The chicken is all hiding inside. It’s not bad at all.

Jean-philippe-patisserie-salmon-crepe

Salmon crepe ($11.95) has caper/dill sauce, smoked salmon, swiss cheese, asparagus, spinach, and pico de gallo. They really don’t skimp out on the salmon. Theres a lot on top. There’s none inside the crepe, but its good enough.

Jean-philippe-patisserie-berry-crepe

Berry Crepe ($10.50) has marinated berries, whipped cream and powdered sugar on top of the crepe. It uses a different crepe batter than the savoury crepes. The marinated berries was quite sour for some reason, but it was still enjoyable. I think I would have been happier with the nutella version but the berries looked good.

Jean-philippe-patisserie-gelato-choice

Besides crepes, they also have gelato. There’s a good amount of flavours.

Jean-philippe-patisserie-gelato

Strawberry gelato scoop came in a cute cup. My little sister sure enjoyed it.

Jean-philippe-patisserie-snacks

Another section of the cafe has cake, snack items and stuff like that. The next day, we had an early start to the grand canyon, so we just decided to grab a few things quickly.

Jean-philippe-patisserie-baked

Croissants, blueberry muffin and a bran muffin. It was decent, but it wasn’t amazing.

Jean-philippe-patisserie-fruit-juice

I got a fruit cup and orange juice. Pretty simple stuff but I didn’t want anything too heavy for breakfast.

Jean-philippe-patisserie-parfait

My little sister got a yogurt parfait, it has granola and fresh berries. It was pretty good since it has both the fruit and granola. A good mix of items.

Overall, good selection of items for the sweet tooth or the savoury tooth..if thats such a thing. The items aren’t overly amazing, but its still decently good.

Wynn-TheBuffet

We went to the Wynn Buffet on a Sunday evening and we were hungry for some food. It is one of the popular buffets in town an costs $38.99 for dinner. It is moderately priced compared to some others out there.

I was excited since I’ve never been to a buffet in the states and I heard they were better than what we have in Vancouver.

Wynn-TheBuffet-location

We came right at 5:30 on a weekend and there was barely a line. There were people outside checking out prices and what was included.

Wynn-TheBuffet-line

No one in the queue, which was fantastic!

Wynn-TheBuffet-dining

The seating area that we were put into was very festive with lots of colour and plants. There’s even a glass ceiling so there’s lots of natural light that comes in. Try to get seated in this area if possible.

Wynn-TheBuffet-drinks

Drinks come with the price of the buffet and some of us got coke and some of us got green tea.

'Wynn-TheBuffet-area

There were lots of people inside lining up at the different food stations.

Wynn-TheBuffet-seafood

The first station that we gravitated towards was the seafood section. We got a few plates of crab legs and shrimp.

Wynn-TheBuffet-starter

After all the seafood, we went into the starters area, where they had lots of cute little dishes.

Wynn-TheBuffet-appetizer

Of course I had to start with fruits, veggies and mussels. I just wanted a taste of something light.

Wynn-TheBuffet-presentation

Beet salad is put in this little cute container. Tasted good but the beet stains easily. Don’t drop it on yourself.

Wynn-TheBuffet-meat-cutter

Then we had to get our moneys worth and eat all the meat! Beef, turkey, and chicken!

Wynn-TheBuffet-meat

Prime rib is a must! Try to see if you can get a medium rare piece.

Wynn-TheBuffet-bbq

The ribs looked very alluring and smelled great.

Wynn-TheBuffet-plates

Unfortunately, the ribs were SUPER dry. I would try to avoid the ribs if possible. But, perhaps its just our visit.

Wynn-TheBuffet-meatplatter

I love getting the sliced meats. Pretty damn good.

Wynn-TheBuffet-sausage

Lots of sausages too. They had 3 different kinds to choose from, but there’s nothing stoping you from trying them all. Thats what all you can eat is all about.

Wynn-TheBuffet-pizza

Their pizza’s were ok, but I didn’t get any of this since I didn’t want to fill up on carbs.

Wynn-TheBuffet-plate

A mismatched plate of desserts and savoury food.

Wynn-TheBuffet-cream-puff

Cream puffs looked beautiful but the filling tasted like whipped butter. It would have been so much better with custard.

Wynn-TheBuffet-desserts            Wynn-TheBuffet-raspberry

The Wynn buffet has a good amount of selection, but the quality was just average. There are more items that I took pictures of. The service was good but after a while, we lost our server so it was hard trying to get a refill of our drinks.

I’m still on the hunt for the best buffet.

Inside the The Shops at Crystals right beside Aria is Wolfgang Puck Pizzeria and Cucina. My parents were raving about this place and how addictive their pasta was the day before. I was intrigued and I wanted to come here to see what they were talking about.

It has a warm and inviting atmosphere. Perfect for families. We came right when it opened and by 1pm, there was a good amount of people dining.

The other side of the restaurant, you can get a view of all the shops. Plus its great for people watching.

WolfgangPuck-shirley-temple

Shirley Temple was what my mom was craving. It is made using a mix of Grenadine syrup and soda. We were sad they didn’t use the recipe with orange juice.

WolfgangPuck-bread

Complimentary bread arrived at the table before the rest of the meal came. It is delicious rustic bread with a  few pieces of butter on the side. The bread was really soft in the centre and crispy on the outside.

WolfgangPuck-carpaccio

Prime Beef Carpaccio has roasted garlic aioli, crispy artichokes, goat cheese, and arugula. Oh man, this was addictive. Highly recommended.

WolfgangPuck-pasta-mushroom

Veal Ravioli has porcini mushrooms in a brown butter sauce and crisp sage on top. My sister thought it was a bit salty for her liking but the first few bites were good.

WolfgangPuck-pasta

Rigatoncini is smothered in piemontese meat sauce, garlic, and parmesan reggiano. The sauce gets into the inside of the pasta so you get a good amount of sauce in each bite.

WolfgangPuck-spaghetti-meatballs

Spaghetti has tomatoes, basil, garlic with housemade meatballs. Very classic and simple dish. The meatballs were huge and it is very filling. My sister and my dad really liked this.

Bouchon Bakery is located in The Venetian and there are 3 locations inside. It is owned by world renowned chef – Thomas Keller. He is the man behind The French Laundry and Per Se. This was a major reason why my sister wanted to try out this bakery to see if it lived up to the hype.

We came in the early afternoon and sat outside on the patio for some snacks and sun.

Bouchon-Bakery-enter

The entrance to the Bouchon Bakery is through the inside of the hotel.

Bouchon-Bakery-inner

It isn’t large, so it more of a to go place, unless you sit outside on the patio.

Bouchon-Bakery-counter

There’s a bunch of pastries on the counter. From croissants to cookies.

Bouchon-Bakery-fridge

In their display case, they have macarons, eclairs and sandwiches.

Bouchon-Bakery-snack

We grabbed a latte and a mocha. Both of them tasted horrible. The mocha was very sweet and we could not adjust the sweetness because they didn’t know what half sweet meant. We soon realized this was the case because their coffee comes out of a machine with a press of a button rather than made by hand like how its supposed to be.

Same goes with the latte, it didn’t have that personal touch from the barista. Came straight from the machine.

I expected a bit more from them especially with the name behind the bakery.

Bouchon-Bakery-burnt

Ham and cheese croissant was baked in the oven for us after we ordered. It was burnt on the edges but was pretty good. Not as good as Beaucoup in Vancouver.

Bouchon-Bakery-sweet

Chocolate eclair was small but it was pretty good. The coffee macaron was a disappointment. It didn’t have the right texture and it was really chewy.

Bouchon-Bakery-croissant

Overall, I was a bit disappointed in Bouchon Bakery. I can name a few places in Vancouver that are ten times better. Sigh, I had such high hopes. Perhaps I just have higher standards since Vancouver has some pretty amazing bakeries.

The Original 1762 was what I ordered. I thought I might as well order the classic sandwich. It has roasted beef, cheddar & horseradish sauce. It was pretty good. The meat was very tender and juicy which paired nicely with the cheddar and horseradish.

Overall, a decent sandwich and it is really nothing special. Nothing fancy, but just plain good.

pinks-hotdogs-signs

Pink’s Hot Dogs is located in Planet Hollywood and serves a huge variety of hot dogs with different toppings. Lots of people stop by to try their famous hot dogs. There’s a lot of hype over this place and I wanted to see how it compared to some of the other hot dog places around the world.

pinks-hotdogs-seats

Just go inside and order at the counter. There’s a lot of food options.

pinks-hotdogs-order

You order your food inside and all the seating is outdoor on the patio.

pinks-hotdogs-patio

The patio is perfect in the sunny afternoon. Great for people watching if you are into that.

pinks-hotdogs-view

You also get a nice view of across the street of the Cosmopolitan.

pinks-hotdogs-mushroom

Mushroom Swiss Dog ($6.99) has grilled mushrooms, mayo, and a slice of swiss cheese. It was ok, it really wasn’t anything special. Granted that the abundance of toppings is really what attracts customers, when it comes down to the sausage, it was pretty bland. I couldn’t find anything gourmet about them.

Overall, I would try it once, but it really isn’t a great hot dog.

serendipity3-bar

A hot day in Vegas needs a nice cool drink. Ever since watching Serendipity and learning the meaning behind that word, I’ve always wanted to come try some of their frozen hot chocolate. I know it doesn’t even have any connection with the movie, but I just love the meaning of the word. “To discover things by accident”, kinda like really good food.

Serendipity 3 is located outside Ceasar’s Palace.

serendipity3-menu

They have various food items and beverages. Most people have their eye on one thing… their frozen hot chocolate.

serendipity3-window

I didn’t want to sit down since I was only ordering one item, so I ordered from their take out window. I totally didn’t mind since I do enjoy walking.

serendipity3-seats

They have outdoor seating and indoor seating. Since it’s usually a nice day in Vegas, people were enjoying it on the patio.

serendipity3-frozenhotchocolate

Frrrozen Hot Chocolate ($8.95) was pricey but it was delicious. It’s probably not very healthy but screw it since you’re in Vegas. I shared this with my sister and it was definitely enough for us two.

serendipity3-outside

Overall, good stop for a beverage. It was my little reward for walking a lot that day up and down the strip.

coca-cola-vegas

If you are a Coca-Cola lover and visiting Vegas, you can’t miss the opportunity to visit the Coca-Cola store on The Strip. It’s right across the street from Monte Carlo. It is two floors and has tons of Coca-Cola products to purchase. Also, there is a cafe on the second floor, so you can enjoy some different Coca-Cola drinks.

One reason why tourists come here is for their ‘Around the World’ taste test of the different Coca-Cola products around the world. You won’t find this anywhere else except here. $7 for 16 different samples.

coca-cola-vegas-cups

Plus, there’s really cool mugs to buy.

coca-cola-vegas-down

The bottom floor has clothing, merchandise, and even take a picture with the Coca-Cola polar bear.

coca-cola-vegas-merch

Upstairs, you have more of their vintage merchandising.

coca-cola-vegas-upper

It’s a large area, so there’s lots of seats and so many things to buy.

coca-cola-vegas-rder

They have Mexican Coca-Cola, Coca-Cola Floats and a bunch of other Coca-Cola inspired items, but there was one item that catches everyones eyes…

coca-cola-vegas-menu

Around the World Tray ($7) has 16 different flavours of Coca-Cola products from around the world.

  • Inca Kola (Peru)
  • Fanta Magic (Estonia)
  • Stoney Tangawizi (Tanzania)
  • Sprite Ice (Korea)
  • Vegitabeta (Japan)
  • Ciel Aquarius (Mexico)
  • Smart Watermelon (China)
  • Kinley Lemon (England)
  • Fanta Kolita (Costa Rica)
  • Thums Up (India)
  • Lift Manzana (Mexico)
  • Bibo Kiwi Mango (South Africa)
  • Sunfil Mint (Djibouti)
  • Smart Apple (China)
  • Beverly (Italy)
  • Mezzo Mix (Germany)

coca-cola-vegas-aroundtheworld

It comes on 2 trays. It’s huge. If you are going with a group of people, only order one….or else you will regret it. You only really need a sip since there are 14 flavours to try.

coca-cola-vegas-more

You get pieces of paper with the flavours so you know what you’re tasting. The Inca Kola and Fanta Pineapple were my favourites.

coca-cola-vegas-taste-flavours

Tray #2 definitely tasted worse than Tray #1.

coca-cola-vegas-cups-flavours

It was a good experience, but there were some good ones and lots of bad flavours. It’s not really tuned to our North American taste buds. This is something your try once…but you probably won’t order it again unless someone else wants it.

Starbucks-vegas

When in Vegas, go to Starbucks. At least that’s what my sisters and I did. She’s really obsessed about getting those collectible Starbucks mugs from different cities around the world. While walking inside Caesars Palace, we found a Starbucks and needed a cool drink to refresh us.

Caesars-Palace-lobby

The Starbucks in Caesars Palace is located to the left of the lobby.

Caesars-Palace-starbucks

The space is quite small, but there are these long long couches to rest for a bit and enjoy your beverage. It’s not a cafe where you can sit for a while.

Starbucks-menu-vegas

Another huge difference are the prices. Most tall drinks are $6 and it has a crazy markup. I pay about half the price in Vancouver. My wallet hurt after coming here.

After going to this location, I started looking at the other location’s prices and it can vary from $5 to $6 for tall drinks.

Starbucks-vanilla-macchiato

Vanilla Macchiato was the drink that they are currently advertising. In Canada, they introduced the Maple Macchiato and in the states, they released the Vanilla Macchiato. How different right?

Starbucks-vanilla-macchiato-iced

The Vanilla Macchiato is a multi-layered drink that has steamed milk, espresso, and the sweet drizzle made of brown sugar, butter, vanilla and some salt.

I got my drink in iced form since it was pretty hot outside. The drink was ok, but nothing special.

Starbucks-iced

The other drinks we ordered were iced green tea and iced coffee. Pretty standard stuff. We spent over $20 of 4 tall drinks which sucks. But, it’s on The Strip, so always expect to pay more.

Mon-Ami-Gabi-paris

On the Las Vegas Strip is the Paris Hotel. Beside it’s charming faux eiffel tower and beautiful building, it is home to one of Vegas’s most talked about restaurant – Mon Ami Gabi.

Mon-Ami-Gabi-tower

As you walk closer and close to Mon Ami Gabi, the faux eiffel tower is actually quite tall. There’s a restaurant up there too.

Mon-Ami-Gabi-entrance

Mon Ami Gabi is on the first floor and they specialize in French cuisine. They have other locations in Chicago, Oak Brook, Reston and Bethesda in the United States. It was a busy lunch hour, but there is plenty of seating inside.

Mon-Ami-Gabi-patio

The patio was a popular spot and there was over an hour wait. It’s a great area to people watch while sipping on cocktails under the sun.

Mon-Ami-Gabi-inner

We decided to sit inside as there were no waits. It was packed!

Mon-Ami-Gabi-bloody-mary-bar

They also have a bloody mary bar on Saturday and Sunday for $11. The waiter brings you the vodka and the glass, then you go to the bar and create your ultimate bloody mary.

Mon-Ami-Gabi-bread

Complimentary bread arrives at the table and it’s quite soft inside. Our family just ripped it apart with our hands.

Mon-Ami-Gabi-rip

The bread was quite good so we ate it quickly…

Mon-Ami-Gabi-crumbs

…until there were only crumbs left. You can also ask for additional bread for no charge at all.

Mon-Ami-Gabi-lunch

When the food arrived, we were ready to dig in. The wait wasn’t that long either. We shared everything family-style because it more fun to try a little bit of everything.

Mon-Ami-Gabi-mussesl

Mussels Mariniere (Full order – $21.95) has white wine and herb sauce. It is also served with fries. The mussels were a bit on the small side, but I’m just being picky because I’m from the West Coast and we have some pretty stellar mussels.

Nonetheless, the broth that it was cooked in was delicious. Great for dipping the bread into.

Mon-Ami-Gabi-fries

The fries that come with it were crispy! Really addictive, but it was heavily salted.

Mon-Ami-Gabi-quiche

Brie & Butternut Squash Quiche ($12.95) was alright. Nothing special.

Mon-Ami-Gabi-salad

Frisee, Kale & Warm Bacon Salad ($10.95) is topped with a soft-poached egg. It was a pretty good salad. The egg was really soft and added a delicious texture to the salad.

Mon-Ami-Gabi-steak

Steak Classique ($24.95) is served with a Maitre d’hotel butter and half a plate of fries. I’ve never had a stead look like that…it was very thin. The butter on the side went really well with the steak.

The service was friendly and they are very accommodating to dietary restrictions. They even have a gluten-free menu too. Overall, the food was good, but I do find some of their items a bit salty.
