Footo Delights specializes in croissants and everything is made in-store with no artificial ingredients. Since I was on my lunch break, I saw their Twitter saying they had the maple bacon croissant available. It’s not too far from my office, so I headed down in search of their croissant.
There is always a good selection of croissant. They also have a baking schedule, I made it just in time for a new batch of croissants. If you’re lucky, they may have some of their specialty croissants available too – garlic, maple bacon or apple cheddar. They also have their regular flavours too – almond, chocolate, spinach+feta, white chocolate pistachio and other ones.
Turkey Pesto Croissant Sandwich ($5.49) was freshly made and has lettuce, tomatoes, turkey, pesto and cheese in a regular butter croissant. It could have used a tad more pesto, but other than that, it was a good simple sandwich.
Maple Bacon Croissant ($2.75) is filled with maple cream with bits of bacon inside. On the outside, there is a maple syrup glaze and more bacon. I loved the large bacon chunks on top and went really well with the croissant. It wasn’t too sweet and I think it’s my 2nd favorite croissant. My favorite is still the white chocolate pistachio croissant.
Brenda was also kind enough give to a box of assorted goodies to my coworkers back at the office. There’s scottish scones, mini croissants and a few of the regular sized croissants. Let just say, at the end of the day…this box is empty.
Overall, pretty good croissants and it also makes for a quick snack.
